Federal University Lafia, Nasarawa State, have won the 12th Nigerian Universities Staff Sports Association Games.
Thirty-five universities participated in the Games, which took place in Kaduna last week.
The teams competed in football, scrabble, chess, table tennis, badminton and athletics.
Presenting the trophies to the Vice-Chancellor of the Federal University Lafia, Prof. Muhammad Liman, the Director of Sports of the university, Dr. Ali Isa Danlami, expressed his gratitude to the management of the institution for supporting the team during the event, promising to work harder to win more medals in future competitions.
The VC commended the athletes for their efforts, saying the university would continue to support sports.
Liman, who reminded the team of the core values of the university, urged the teams to win more medals in competitions.
