Did you get logged out of your Google accounts last night? You're not alone.

Google received reports of users being unexpectedly signed out of their email accounts Thursday night, Google Community Manager Crystal Cee said on the Gmail Help Forum. Posts from affected users on Twitter indicate that the problem extended to other Google services, like YouTube, too.

The problem also appears to have affected Google Wifi ($52.95 at Amazon) and OnHub ($34.99 at Amazon) devices. In a support note, Google said an issue with its Google Accounts engine caused some devices to automatically revert to factory settings.

"Unfortunately, these devices need to be set up again," Google wrote. "We'd like to share our sincerest apologies for the inconvenience." For instructions on re-setting up your Wifi points, head here.

Some speculated that the logouts were a security issue, but Google says that was not the case. Google is investigating the issue, but there's "no indication that this is connected to any phishing or account security threats," Cee wrote. If you were logged out of your account last night and had trouble logging back in, you might have more luck now.

"Rest easy -- your account's security was not affected," Google tweeted.

If you can't remember your password, use this link to recover your account. Cee said those using 2-step verification may have experienced a delay receiving their SMS code. She recommended trying again using backup codes.
