So for the last few years I have been an on again off again kind of vaper. I always look at the biggest baddest mods combined with big subohm tanks and drippers. For instance my RX200 and TFV8 Cloud Beast. Well the problem I keep having is that I don't seem to be satisfied. I end up going back to the smokes after a few weeks. I have tried to change the build in the drippers to help but I just end up frustrated with not sticking with it. I've realised lately that I like the simplicity of not DIYing my ejuice anymore and have been buying locally. I still enjoy building if it isn't a difficult tank and can be leakproof easily. My biggest pet peeve with vaping is a leaky tank! Part of me is also tired of spending a fortune in juice with my guzzling TFV8. This whole idea was to be cheaper long run and even though I am breaking even I would still like to save a little bit of money.

So my question today is what mod/tank would you recommend for me. I don't care if I use a stock coil setup if they don't need changed on a daily basis. It also does not have to be subohm, if you think that could be why I might not be satisfied. I would like something smaller than the RX200 if I won't be needing the high wattage anymore. I will still have that as a fall back option anyways. I want a tank because redripping gets old anymore. If you can also recommend a good nicotine level for the tank you suggest that would be great also! I also am not worried about whether it has a built in battery or not. I am not necessarily worried about cost at the moment as long as it isn't a $500 setup.

Thank you all for the help! I will keep researching on my own also but all of your recommendations are so helpful! We have a great community around here. I appreciate all the responses that I may get! I want to quit the smoking so bad!

Do you like the clouds? Do you think more flavor instead would help (along with some extra nic in the bottle)?

Lots of good smaller mods right now. From a Vaporesso Target to a 2 battery Alien, and little 1 battery mods like a Pico. Obviously going to be easier to nail down once you know what tank(s) you'll be using, and that will come from your preferences above. There are plenty of decent tanks with factory coils that don't leak (generally, anything can get busted). The Freemax Starre Pure gets lots of raves for flavor with its ceramic coils. I favor a Tobeco Super tank (and mini) as you can use any Atlantis style coil from multiple manufacturers, so you can experiment with what coil type you like best.

Those can be run at moderate power so no need for a big RX200. You should be able to get decent cloud and good flavor. To stop smoking you probably want a higher nic level. You don't say what you were using, so that's more info that can be helpful.

If I was you, I would spend the money on the tank before purchasing a mod. The kayfun range was a winner for me and I haven't smoked since. It also depends on the eliquid you use. It's very hard to find something that you enjoy more than cigs. Just keep trying!

Therefore I suggest authentic kayfun (worse case scenario you can sell it as it holds value).

And if you need a new mod, get a Eleaf pico or an joytech evic (cheap and performs 95% as good as a DNA or yihi) - if you start to enjoy vaping, you can they spend on the mod

For me MTL or restricted lung tanks replicate smoking (and satisfying) a lot better than the powerful cloud machines.

Before it was about the clouds as I thought that would help. Now I want the flavor. With my TFV8 Cloud Beast I was using 3mg as I heard anything more can be painful. I was too nervous to try. I would like a small mod this time for easy of carrying and leave the RX200 for my home use. The mod part I'm not so worried about though as anything can work now days.

I looked at the kayfun and nautilus online and they seem to be good for MTL which I'm leaning towards. I have 5 rdas and 2 good subohm airy lung hitting tanks to use when I want that feel. Would the kayfun clones be a good route? The authentics are pricey, but if that's the only real way to go I can do it. I enjoy vaping the way I do now but it doesn't seem like it's helping to quit, more like another hobby I do when watching TV.

I'll keep searching and post more questions when I find more tanks I'm interested in too. So far the kayfun and nautilus seem to be leading with what I have read today.

Your looking for simpler but in my opinion there is no simple answer here because you need to find what works best for you. Simple to me is screwing in a coil and filling a tank but the Griffin 25 Plus is going to need building and learning curve to wick it correctly. I own one that is still sitting in the box because it is simpler to pick up a MOD with a pre-made coil and vape. But that is just me and I will build that Griffin one day but not today!

I'd Rather Be Vaping......

If you don't mix and rebuild and if you must have clouds then things get expensive. $20 worth of rebuilding supplies will last me 4 years. My DIY costs about 5 cents a day.
I build my coils but no longer DIY my ejuice. I also would rather flavor than clouds. I said that when I wanted the clouds and subohm type vape that I will have my other gear to fall back on. With me working 48 hours a week, going back to school full time, spending time with my wife, and remodelling the house I just don't have time anymore to make my own juice hence the reasoning for simplicity.

you own a 25+ and think it's hard to wick?????? Sure you aren't talking about the 25 ? Huge difference

I agree with you, if I wanted to continue down this road I would continue to use my TFV8 and the many drippers sitting on my desk.
I was hoping for recommendations to simple tanks that would be different from my current set ups but so far most have been, "Chase the clouds bro..." well that's what I've been doing and it doesn't seem to help with quitting smoking. I was think more along the lines of simplicity and a MTL setup.

Surprising to hear it take less time to build coils and wick then it does to make DIY e-Liquids for you. I can whip up 180 ML's in less time than it takes to build a couple of Clapton's. But to each his own and whatever works for you!
I'm not looking to build Clapton coils. Simplicity. That is the goal.

I did say I did not build it YET and the opinion expressed is based on what I read in a recent thread here. Now this is what I always say about reading it on the internet!

When I get a chance I will find it and PM you............
something tells me that the tank in question is a original 22 or the 25 but doubt its the + because it's beyond simple to build on but the previous 2 did require perfect wicking hell I bought precision scissor just for them. I haven't needed to be so perfect since I got the plus
