I bought a iStick TC40w and with it I use aspire Nautilus tank. Right now, the only juice / liquid I have with it is Red Astaire from T-juice.

Now, I am all new to this, I have never used this vaper before, and I know there is a lot I can do with the settings. But, my brain isn't the biggest around at this part... Anyone who could help me out a little?

What should the temp settings and W settings be at? I don't want it to burn or taste bad because of wrong settings on it. Again, super new to this stuff, any help helps a lot! Thanks.

It depends on what resistance your coils are. For the mini I think they start at 1.2 in any event start your wattage low and build up until it's how you like it. I use 1.8 coils at 9 watts and that's right for me.

I have one mini, ad one normal. The one I am going to use is mini. What temperature did you put it to? And I'll start on a low w. Probably 5 and go up.

Hi and welcome. First, Nautilus coils are typically used in wattage mode, not temp control (there is one exception that will fit for temp control but is sold for the Triton mini, it will still fit). You are using either a 1.6 or 1.8 ohm coil if it came with the tank.

When you mount the coil, be sure to add a little bit of juice to the cotton inside and on the little holes around the outside (that's "priming" it). Let it sit with juice in the tank for 10 or 15 minutes. Then start out at ~5W and slowly work your way up 1W at a time. As bonskibon already pointed out, getting around 10W will put in the right place. Might be a little more or little less depending on your personal preference.

Do you know what coil your using? If it 1.6 or 1.8 don't even bother using temp control, just set your wattage. I also have the istick 40w that I only use for my mini and have not even used the TC option as of yet.

So, if I did put it to 150C it doesn't matter when I show the W screen?

With the Nautilus Mini try to keep the wattage down below 12W and your coils will last a long time. I run mine at 9W to 11.5W maximum and I have 3 of them. Also to extend coil life keep drawing when letting off the fire button to cool and prime the coil for the next hit. Good Luck

Welcome to the ECF. You have come to the right place to learn everything you would ever want to learn about vaping :D

I have an istick 40 watt in my hand right now. I personally have never used the temp control option. Right at this moment I am vaping my favorite vanilla custard in a gs-air topper with a 1.8Ω coil in it. I am running it at 8 watts. If the coil in your Nautilus Mini is 1.5Ω or even 1.2Ω you may have to go a bit higher to get to your happy place.

Again, DO NOT use temperature mode with that tank/coil combination. I always ran my Nautilus Minis at about 10 or 11 watts.

Also, the iStick/Nautilus combo is a great starter kit so koodos to whoever recommended that setup.

When you vape, I expect the screen that shows temperature goes away and the power screen - the one that shows watts - appears. That's the istick kicking you out of temperature mode because it can tell your coil isn't right for it. It doesn't matter what you did with the temperature settings when you're in power mode. If you were actually using TC, the temperature screen would stay while you vape.

Most mods will kick you out of tc mode if you're not using a tc-capable coil. No danger in setting the mod to tc mode, simply useless.
