- Reviewed in the United States on August 15, 2017This is a heart-warming story about community and the importance of the arts, including dance, poetry, painting, and many others. It's about a girl who helps stand up for what she believes in, even when she's afraid to speak. It reminded me of how much I loved to dance at my local community center with all of my friends when I was a kid. Gabriela's story was very realistic because she has to work hard to raise the money and to overcome her stutter, instead of everything coming to her easily. I think it's a great encouragement for kids to try new things and to overcome their fears.

- Reviewed in the United States on May 29, 2017Eleven-year-old used this book for a book report and got an A. Made dancer cookies too.:)
She and a friend gave it 4 out of 5 starts because it got a bit redundant and boring toward the end.
