Chemonics International seeks experienced professionals for the USAID-funded Global Health Supply Chain - Procurement and Supply Management (GHSC-PSM) project. GHSC-PSM Ethiopia will serve as the primary vehicle through which USAID will procure and furnish health commodities, provide technical assistance to improve the country’s management of the supply chain, and collaborate with key international stakeholders to support global and local health initiatives.
The project is currently seeking qualified Health Programs and Pharmacy Services Director. The Health Programs and Pharmacy Service Director is the lead in improving coordination of supply chain management to effectively meet the requirements of HIV/AIDS, Malaria, RH/FP, and MCH programs. The director oversees GHSC- PSM support provided to FMOH, PFSA and other partners through technical working group meetings, task force meetings, review meetings, joint support supervision, and translation of program changes into the language of supply chain management. Moreover, the director leads the project’s support to the country’s laboratory commodity management system and medical devices management through development of strategy, standards, and protocol, monitoring of stock status and equipment functionality, developing efficient lab networks, and data driven optimization. Regarding pharmacy service, the director oversees development and implementation of evidenced- based policies, legislative frameworks, strategies, and guidelines with the aim of strengthening upper-stream supply chain operations, improving patient treatment outcomes, and enhancing the financial sustainability of public health facilities.
