台灣西南部嘉南平原有個「古色香」的地方，是台灣最早發展的區域，不但保存了台灣各個時期的古蹟，也有豐富的古早味小吃和藝術文化，自古以來有「府城」的別稱，它就是熱情純樸的「台南」。台南，一直是全台歷史最悠久的都市。過去有「台南府」之稱，可見台南在過去「時期」發展中象徵的意義。四百年前最早荷蘭時期曾把台南佔領，築「熱蘭遮城」和「普羅民遮城」，就是現今有名的「安平古堡」和「赤崁樓」，更顯示台南與「歷史古蹟」、「傳統文化」具有長遠密切的關係。為使台南觀光業與大眾更親密，設計師定位台南的新形象時，決定以趣味幽默的方式切入，也就是「神遊台南」為核心概念，而這裡運用「神遊」的諧音，以「神明遊歷」的幽默視覺手法呈現，讓觀賞者有「想像遊歷」的感覺，達到巧妙性的連結。以騎機車遊古城的「關帝爺」和手拿美食小吃的「門神」為主角，用詼諧風趣介紹台南的文化特色。展覽時，設計師使用「光柵原理」的立體影像層次感，創造視覺立體深度，也增加變圖視覺的趣味性。以「現代簡約」的幾何圖形，既有融和「傳統」和「現代」風格的意涵，也彰顯出設計師讓台南古城貼近年輕族群的企圖心。
There is a place of classic beauty in Chianan Plain of southwestern Taiwan. It which is the earliest-developed area in Taiwan not only preserve the Taiwanese historical sites of different periods but also offer a variety of old school special snacks and arts & culture. Since the beginning, “Tainan City” of warm and simple style has been called the “The Prefectural City” because of its glamorous and rich historical culture property. As the origin of history, Tainan City is the oldest city in Taiwan. Tainan was sometimes known as Tainan Prefecture in the past to indicate the symbolic meanings of Tainan in the development at the earlier stage. As early as 400 years ago, the Dutch occupied Tainan and built Fort Zeelandia and Provintia, also known as Chih-Kan Tower and Anping Fort nowadays. It further reminds Tainan of the strong links with “historical site” and “traditional culture”.
To get the tourism of Tainan close to the public, the designer decide to position the new image of Tainan from the prospective of fun and humor, that is, the core concept is gods' traveling to Tainan. We use the homophonic of “gods’ traveling (shenyo)” to present the humorous vision of “gods’ traveling” so that viewers feel about the “imagery traveling” to the good match. We have “Lord Guan” riding motorcycle to travel around the historic site and “Door-God” as the main characters to introduce the culture and features in Tainan in a funny way. The designer adopt the sense of multi-level 3D stereoscopic images under the principle of grating to create the visual stereoscopic depth and increase the sense of fun of illustration at the exhibition. We use the “modern and simple” geometric figure to combine the implication of “traditional” and “modern” style to show the designer’s ambition to get the historic sites in Tainan to close to the youth.
