The music industry (and the world in general) is still recovering from the tragic death of Prince nearly a year later, and thankfully the tribute to his legacy at the Grammys was everything fans could've hoped for. Morris Day and The Time kicked things off with an electric performance of "Jungle Love" that immediately had people in the audience jumping to their feet to do the dance from Purple Rain. They also performed "The Bird" before Bruno Mars took the stage for the second time that night. With Prince's symbol glowing behind him, he performed "Let's Go Crazy" decked out in a sparkly purple blazer, a ruffled white shirt, and one of Prince's electric guitars that he busted out an epic solo on. The Purple One would no doubt be proud.
