Prior to her job as a weather presenter she was a model who took part in Nuevo León's heat of a national modelling contest.
She now trains aspiring young models at her own modelling school in her hometown Yanet García Models.
But despite her spiralling popularity and model looks, the brown-eyes girl remains modest about her appearance.
Yanet revealed that her looks were largely down to good genetics, but is also often pictured exercising at the gym and in local parks.
And in a recent interview with MTY TV, she revealed she always tries to exercise in her free time and often practises boxing, goes jogging and uses the gym.
Since her rise to fame she has been offered jobs in the UK, Canada and the US, but she is staying at her local weather station.
