Hi all,

Got a GeekVape Aegis earlier this week and ordered some Fogstar 26650 batteries to go with it however I’ve ran into a bit of a problem.

The battery door/thing won’t screw all the way on!

It leaves a slight lip where the battery thing sits proud of the bottom of the mod and I don’t wanna force it and ruin my new battery’s.

Anyone have any idea if it’s safe to try screwing it further so the bottom is flat? My 18650s all work fine, it’s just these 26650s.

Thanks.

That's strange, it works for me fine with two other brands of cell. Are you sure that you are engaging the thread perfectly? The threads have a deep groove and it needs to be perfectly aligned.
Maybe @Ben fogstar could advise.

The rubber seal is quite thick to ensure it remains water proof.
I would be more inclined to think its just this.

Check your batteries as I have one and works fine with ijoy flat top batteries but if I use it MNKE orange battery it does the same as what you are getting. The batteries have to be totally flat top. Hope that helps

With the Fogstar 26650's, the battery cap won't screw on flush, there is indeed a lip. If you try to screw it flush, you'll dent the positive cap.

It's fine with a little lip. The o-ring is large enough to ensure its water/dust proof afaik.

Thanks all.

Ended up screwing it in a little further and the lips only tiny now.

Could I butt in and ask how you are finding it generally?
How long is a charge on the 18650/ 26650 lasting?
Is rubber outer that grippy it pulls all your change out your pocket?

It’s on my list to upgrade from my coolfires. I keep coming back to it and there are some good deals about.

Cheers

The mod feels great in the hand, it is heavy and tough. It feels like you could kick it around like a football and it would still work.
The rubber bit isn't really sticky, it's quite hard. If you have it in your pocket make sure you are wearing a belt or you could end up with your jeans round your knees.
You will probably use two batteries in a day if you are a DTL vaper. There seems to be a bit of a drop in performance the lower the battery gets so replace at around 30%.
