Get an iPhone X for Cheap at Best Buy’s Apple Sales Event

There’s nothing like using the timeless excuse of “It’s the holidays!” to treat yourself to a fancy new toy. And with the thousand-dollar iPhone X being all the rage this gift-giving season (if you can get one), you may as well save a few bucks on it before gift-wrapping your own present. Best Buy’s got some pretty steep savings on Apple products and accessories until Saturday, December 9. Here’s how you can bank that holiday cash while still treating yourself to the gift of a brand new iPhone, Mac, or add-ons for the devices you already own.

Use Your Old iPhone to Save on the iPhone X

Weird notch aside, you know you want the iPhone X. Best Buy knows it too, which is why you can get a gift card worth up to $250 should you walk into your nearest brick and mortar store and trade in your current smartphone for the iPhone X. You can find out how much your trade-in will net you before you decide to give up your old device. Sure, it’s in the form of a gift card rather than a discount to the device itself, but once you realize you’ll most likely want to purchase a wireless charging mat, some AirPods, and a case for your fancy phone, you’ll be glad you’ve got in-store credit to spend.

If you’ve got no problem switching carriers to save on the iPhone X, Sprint is also offering a trade-in deal for the face-scanning smartphone. You can save $300 when you both trade in your eligible smartphone and sign up for Sprint’s Flex Lease program. The leasing program lets you upgrade your device after making at least 12 months’ worth of payments, after which you have the option of purchasing the phone outright. That means that the iPhone X will ultimately cost you $699, so if you’re looking to jump ship and get a new phone in 2018, now’s the time to do it.

Save on the iPhone 8 Too, I Guess

Oh, yeah. The iPhone 8 also exists. You can save $200 on an iPhone 8 or 8 Plus when you purchase and activate one using a monthly installment plan, or get two 8s (or 8 Pluses) for the price of one when you purchase them through AT&T (note: one of the two phones must be activated on a new line).

Avoid the Noise and Get an iPhone 6s

Keep that headphone jack and snag yourself a cheap iPhone 6s if you just need something to replace your battered and bruised smartphone of old. You’ll save $150 and pay only $9.99 per month for the device. Sounds like a steal to me.

Get Discounts on A Few Lesser Apple Products

There are other Apple products out there, which means there are other discounts in Best Buys Apple Sale Event. You can shave off up to $150 on the 10.5-inch iPad Pro depending on the chosen model, $125 on the 128GB iPad mini 4, and up to $200 (depending on the model) on either a new MacBook or a new iMac. There are also a few discounts on Beats by Dr. Dre products, as well as a $5 discount on the Apple Pencil (saving you just enough to buy a much-needed clip-on attachment).
