Finding G3S on Social Media

G3S has a chat group on Line to facilitate closer interactions through chatting, serious discussions, and more casual conversations across many time zones. We’ve also just debuted a G3S Facebook page to enable more interactive discussions around content and timely issues. Finally, we’re starting to launch regional Facebook groups to facilitate local meetups for offline friendships and conversations.

Facebook

If you’re interested in getting updates on the content posted to our Tumblr blog, you can follow or like our Facebook page. If you’re concerned about privacy, please note that following or liking the page is public and a story about liking the G3S Facebook page may appear in your friends’ News Feeds.

If you’re interested in our secret regional Facebook groups, please send us a short introduction email to gaysianthirdspace@gmail.com and we’ll follow up with an email invite to the group. We currently have groups for the LA, NY, and SF Bay Area regions.

LINE Group Chat

The Line Group chat was created to facilitate discussions on G3S posts and Gaysian issues, as well as hold more casual conversations and give advice/support.

Line Group Moderators (Fish and Jeff) work actively to moderate membership and monitor the chat to maintain a supportive and welcoming environment for all of the participants. They reserve the right to decline new membership or remove current members.

To join the Line group, please follow these instructions:

1. Fill out the form here (this step is required).

2. Download and install the Line app in App Market (https://line.me/en/download).

3. Send a friend request to “alostfish” on Line.

4. Send “alostfish” a quick message on Line so he knows to add you.

5. Please follow our Line Group community guidelines below.

We look forward to welcoming you to the group!

Help us maintain a supportive and welcoming culture:

Keep it safe and supportive

One of our goals is maintaining a space that meets the G3S mission, and functions as an alternative to more sexualized venues. Excessively explicit messages, unwanted advances, and other toxic behavior will result in warnings, and possibly removal from the chat.

Be mindful of where others are

Our community varies in geographic distribution, age, and ethnicity. Many participants are at different stages of self-acceptance, relationship experience, professional standing, and personal growth from one another. Please remain respectful.

Remember the human

When you communicate online, all you see is a screen. When talking to someone you might want to ask yourself “Would I say it to the person’s face?” or “How would this make them feel?”. Adhere to the same standards of behavior online that you follow in real life.

Stick to the issue and avoid personal attacks

We welcome discussions on controversial issues, but we ask you to please discuss the issue and not the people involved in the debate. Ad hominem and other distracting attacks do not add anything to the conversation and will not be tolerated.

Maintain privacy and security

Please do not share other’s personal information, including social media accounts, pictures, screenshots, private conversations and real life identities. We encourage reaching out to members in the group individually, but unwanted advances and explicit messages is not acceptable. Illegal activities or trolling warrants removal from the group.

Keep the discussion PG-13

While we encourage discussions related to sex, we asked that it be issue focused and not for the sake of shock value. Please keep NSFW material to a minimum given the public nature of the Line Group.
