2016 saw the likes of Captain America: Civil War and Doctor Strange meet, and perhaps exceed expectations. Now, fans look forward to a new year where Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, Spider-Man Homecoming, and Thor: Ragnarok look to follow suit; the latter being arguably the most intriguing of the three with acclaimed director Taika Waititi at the helm, and a star-studded cast in front of the camera. It cannot be argued, however, that the superhero team-up Avengers: Infinity War stands out among moviegoers' most anticipated from Marvel Studios' slate of upcoming titles.

Set to begin filming in mere weeksInfinity War will reportedly shoot partially in Scotland and feature the biggest cast of heroes yet. One of the MCU's fan-favorite characters, Thor – famously portrayed by Chris Hemsworth – will, of course, be featured in his third standalone film later in 2017, but that does not mean that Hemsworth has stopped fielding questions from reporters concerning the next Avengers film. That being said, the 33-year-old Austrailian actor has little to say on the matter, considering that he has yet to read the script.

That's right, despite being only weeks away from the start of principal photography, Chris Hemsworth stated an interview with MTV's Josh Horowitz that he has yet to see the script for Avengers: Infinity War. At first glance, this might sound like an embarrassing admission from the God of Thunder himself, but, according to the seasoned movie star, that is simply the way Marvel Studios goes about its business.

[It's] a little nerve-racking a couple weeks out, isn't it? But this is the way Marvel does it.

Thor: Ragnarok - Taika Waititi and Chris Hemsworth

Chris Hemsworth had little to add to the topic, stating that he simply is not at liberty to divulge any information at the time. Even in regard to the scale and size of his role within the film, Hemsworth declined to comment; confirming only that he will indeed be in the movie.

Marvel Studios has set a high bar for themselves with virtually countless critically appraised and fan-adored films since the MCU's inception in 2008. Currently, in the golden age of superhero cinema, more comic book films make their way to the big screen each year than ever before. As the unequivocal benchmark for the genre, Marvel has kept pace, releasing a handful of pictures each year. Simply put, with Thor: Ragnarok only recently concluding its filming schedule, it should come as no surprise that Chris Hemsworth has not yet gotten the opportunity to read the script for Marvel's next project.

This process might appear to be quite frantic to an outsider looking in – and it most likely is – but with the faith of their millions of adoring fans and a track record that is this strong, Marvel Studios looks to produce even more quality pictures in the coming years, Avengers: Infinity War most certainly included.
