This is our problem with the international press. The BBC rushes to put up a sympathetic interview with the the uncle of the terrorist who murdered four and injured many more in Jerusalem yesterday.
They have immediately inverted the story and made the family of the terrorist murderer into the victims of the story.
As of this moment the BBC has no video with the families of the murdered Israelis. They have Bibi speaking and an interview with an eye witness and another video with a title “Jerusalem lorry attack: ‘I fired until my magazine was empty’”.
Here are the real victims, the ones the BBC won’t highlight: Lt Yael Yekutiel, 20; Lt Shir Hajaj, 22; 2nd Lt Erez Orbach, 20 and 2nd Lt Shira Tzur, 20.
The BBC’s current text article only includes the Israeli attack victims by way of quoting an IDF tweet and including a screenshot of the tweet.
The Israel Defense Forces tweeted that the dead soldiers were Lt Yael Yekutiel, 20; Lt Shir Hajaj, 22; 2nd Lt Erez Orbach, 20 and 2nd Lt Shira Tzur, 20.
The video of the terrorist murderer’s uncle is, of course, given pride of place in their text report. This is more lethal journalism.
