2017 Nissan Rogue Hybrid Cheaper Than RAV4 Hybrid

Shoppers in 18 states can now get their hands on the 2017 Nissan Rogue Hybrid.

Available at Nissan dealers in the West, Northwest and Mountain regions, the 2017 Nissan Rogue Hybrid starts from $27,180 including destination for the SV FWD model. That’s just $1,000 over the standard Rogue model, making it a compelling model in the lineup. It also undercuts the Toyota RAV4 Hybrid, which starts at $29,970 including destination in the U.S.

The Rogue Hybrid returns 33 mpg in the city and 35 mpg on the highway for a 34 mpg combined rating for the front-wheel-drive model, while the all-wheel-drive variant gets 31 mpg in the city and 34 mpg on the highway for 33 mpg combined. The RAV4 is rated at 34 mpg city, 30 highway and 32 combined.

The Rogue Hybrid powertrain starts with a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine rated at 141 horsepower and 144 pound-feet of torque that is combined with an electric motor providing 40 hp and 118 lb-ft of torque. Total system output is 176 hp.

Stepping up to the 2017 Nissan Rogue Hybrid SL FWD will cost $32,100, which adds Motion Activated Liftgate, NissanConnect with Navigation and Mobile Apps, Around View Monitor with Moving Object Detection, leather-appointed seats and more. All-wheel drive costs $1,350 on either model.

The 2017 Nissan Rogue Hybrid will go on sale nationwide starting spring 2017.
