PROJECT/ACTIVITY OVERVIEW
The USAID/PEPFAR funded Community HIV Care and Treatment (CHCT) project is a five years project implemented by Project HOPE as a prime and its partners, Management Sciences for Health (MSH) and Population Services (PSI) Network of Networks of HIV Positives (NEP+), and National Network of Positive Women Ethiopians (NNPWE). The program aims to accelerate and sustain HIV epidemic control in Ethiopia in the selected scale up woredas of Amhara, Tigray, Oromia, Harari, Gambella, Somalia, Benishangul Gumuz, Afar and SNNP regions, as well as Addis Ababa and Dire Dawa city administrations. The objectives and interventions are designed to impact UNAIDS 90-90-90 goals and address Ethiopia’s challenges associated with delivering community based HIV care and treatment services.
MSH will lead the CHCT project implementation in Amhara, Tigray and Benishangul Gumuz through selected Local Implementing Partners (LIPs) and Community Based Organizations (CBOs).
OVERALL RESPONSIBILITIES
The Regional M&E Specialist will be working under the supervision of the Regional CHCT Manager and technical support of the M&E and Quality Management Director based centrally. S/he will support in the design and effective implementation of the projects M&E framework, plans, data management systems and reporting. S/he will also lead M&E related capacity building supports of the project to LIPs and other stakeholders, data quality assurance activities and provide accurate and timely data to monitor project performance and for project improvement.
