Kit
Piper.
My band mate's baby sister.
The one woman I can't have.
The one woman who won't get out of my head.
Those big blue eyes, those sweet pink lips, the cheeks that flush at the slightest provocation...
I want her under me, groaning my name, shaking with desire.
She's too good for me. Too sweet. Too innocent.
I shouldn't be the one to take Piper's virginity.
But there's no way in hell I'm letting another guy fill her with pleasure.

Piper
Kit.
The bassist in my brother's band.
The guy I've been crushing on forever.
The tall, dark, handsome musician who keeps everything to himself.
He looks at me like I'm an innocent flower.
We're only friends. We're only ever going to be friends.
I need to stop thinking about running my fingers over the lines of his tattoos.
I need to stop wondering what his tongue piercing would feel like against my -
I need to get over him.
But the more I get to know him, the more I want to get under him.

Christopher 'Kit' Lockhart is the Dangerous Noise bassist & fresh out of rehab for drug addiction. Piper Strong is the 19-year little sister of the Dangerous Noise's Leader singer Mal & Lead guitarist Ethan. She is a college freshman struggling to figure out what she wants to do with herself. Piper finds herself at a party she doesn't feel comfortable at & wonders to find the restroom before she goes to leave. When Piper opens the bathroom door & finds herself witnessing a woman on her knees giving a good looking guy a blowjob...... & it turns out the guy is Kit her brother's band mate. Kit chases Piper down & brings her to his place to calm her down. When Piper finally makes it home she finds a text from Kit asking if she made it home alright. From that starts a texting friendship that both of them crave but believe is dangerous considering what Piper's brothers would think. As their friendship grows they both begin to open up about themselves. Piper struggles most with her parents absence & expectations since she still lives off their money. Kit struggles most with his shame from his past & all the screwed up things he did while he was high. As their bond grows strong so does their desire to be with one another. When fate pushes Piper to stay with Kit, she decides she wants him to be her first. Kit gives in & they get lost in each other. The next morning they are awoken by knocking on the front door. It is Piper's bother Mal come to apologize for making her leave. But it is obvious that Piper didn't spend an innocent night at Kit place. Will everything come crashing down now that Mal knows? Will Kit be thrown out of the band? Do Piper & Kit stand a chance to be together?

This sweet forbidden love story is filled with both learning to embrace new love & learning to accept past pain. Both the main characters have trust issues with living through their individual issues & learn through each other that they can trust again. Coming to terms with what you need to feel whole & letting someone else help you live your dreams is the sweet message of this story. I am a fan of Crystal Kaswell's rock n' roll romances & this one did not disappoint me. I look forward to the next book in the Dangerous Noise series. This book is meant for mature readers.

This has everything I love in a book. I've never read this author before, so I'll happily being going back and reading others.

First off. This has my favorite tropes. I'm still a sucker for a h virgin, can't help it, it's so rare these days with authors that when I find one I can't help but dig into something different. Add an actual strong blonde lead, which is also rare, I'm in. Then the girl next door trope? Look I love a badass h as much as the next reader, but that trope is so rare now these days as well, I was ready to read.

Then my favorite. I adore the best friends, taboo, don't touch the little sister, so I was hooked. It was made for me. What I wasn't expecting was how well written it was going to be. This book has depth and feeling. It deals with addiction. The author must have experience with it, because so do I, and she wrote it in a very realistic way. I commend her for that.

The book starts out as friends to forbidden and has a happy ending. It seriously is one of the best books I've read this year, it's sweet, it's sexy, it's deep. It was a great read. Very rarely do I enjoy both leads, very rarely am I interested in the secondary characters, but she hit a home run for me. I guess I read out of order, so I'll go back and fix that now. Im all in, highly recommend and I'm off to find more from this author.

this would've been a five star read if it wasn't for the freaking epilogue!!!

we went through this WHOLE book without fmc's brother's getting all dumb about their sister dating their best friend, which I LOVED that it wasn't this big whole drama thing.

BUT THEN, when mmc is proposing to fmc in epilogue, the first thing she said was, "what about Mal and Ethan?" LIKE ARE YOU SERIOUS GIRL?! there was NO emotion prior to that question. UGH I'M SO ANNOYED!

that truly ruined it for me. I really enjoyed this book, thought the romance was good, though fmc was a bit immature in some parts but nothing too bad, I loved that the struggles in this book were extremely real. it's fiction, obviously, but having those real moments makes it better to read.

but yeah I can't get over that one part. it just didn't make sense because both brothers weren't assholes when it came to finding out their were together... so it didn't make sense that that question was asked! UGH

received arc from author, was hoping it will be better than the 1st book but i am already bored out at 39%, don't know if i can continue till the end. and this author has already written tom getting together with drew's sister, willow in the sinful serenade series, why is the same kind of relationship appearing in this series again? is she running out of ideas already? *roll eyes*

[1 star] I FINISH THE BOOK!!! OMG~ dont like this book, cant feel any emotion in the book. whole book is just bland and boring. not sure why i bother to finish it. the plot of sister fucking her brothers' friends/teammates/bandmates etc and she doesnt care what her brothers think because she is an adult blah blah blah.... is getting old and cliche, so if an author wanna write this kind of story, it has to be good but too bad this book is just bad.

I really like this series!

This is the second book I have read in this series, but each story is happening concurrently, so each can be read as a standalone. Which is really cool!

I liked the whole premise of the story; the virginal little sister crushing on the dark and brooding bandmate. I was interested to see how the story would play out, how the characters would change, and Crystal didn't disappoint.

Kit dealt with some heavy issues, and the symbiotic relationship he and Piper developed was very touching. I enjoyed reading his inner thoughts in conjunction with his dialogue.

Proofreading issues aside, this was a really good story and I can't wait for the next book in the series!

Who needs sleep when you have a new Crystal Kaswell book to read? I read this book in one sitting. Piper and Kit (really adore that name) might be my favorite couple by this author yet.

Well written, with relatable (for rock stars) characters who you want to find their HEA.

I'm not big on reading books twice but sometimes when a book is good it just feels right; re-reading Kit and Piper's story was such a pleasure. I was worried to begin with that, as a re-read, I'd be tempted to skip pages, but I didn't, not even a paragraph; I was rehooked right from the first line!

I love Crystal Kaswell's light style of writing, it bounces along the page until it doesn't; it drops into the darkness to just the right tone as needed to bring out the angst; the itch of addiction; the claw of anxiety; the ache of want! Then the cuteness is back to bring light to the dark to ease that ache with a slow tender hand; scratch the itch with a sharp acrylic nail; cure the anxiety with a smile! This book is full of emotion that will pull at your heart.

Being book two the characters have all been met previously but coming to the front this time are bass player and addict Kit and college cutie Piper. Secret texting, secret dating, secret saving! Will it all work out or will her brothers find out and put an end to everything good that they both have going on?

This is definitely aimed at adult readers with adult content! Scenes between the sheets, against the walls, in the kitchen, in the bathroom or wherever are hot and sexy between consenting! If you don't like that don't read this book!!!

I loved this book and totally recommend it and the others in this series to you xx

This time it's Kit's turn to fall. The lucky woman? Mal and Ethan's younger sister, Piper. Piper has always had a crush on Kit. Who wouldn't? He's hot and he's got that broody, bad boy vibe going on. But they've never really known each other until she catches him with his pants down at a party she shouldn't be at. Suddenly they're texting each other, flirting, and getting to know each other in that friendly kind of way. Only she wants more, has always wanted more. Will Kit give into the attraction even though he knows Mal and Ethan will kill him and kick him out of the band if he touches their innocent little sister?

I loved Piper and Kit together. She may be much more innocent and naive than he, but they make a great couple because at the heart of their relationship is a strong friendship. One of loyalty and true comfort and support.

I read this as part of Crystal Kaswell's The First Time: A Romance Collection.
I liked the dynamic between the two, the build-up, etc. But after a while, the "I'm not good enough for you", "Yes you are" started to get kind of old. And I totally didn't buy the absent parent side story. The steamy parts made up for the shortcomings, though, and I was happy to see it through.

Positives:

I will have to admit, the author is really good at writing sex scenes. They were detailed in the right parts and at least those parts weren’t awkward, except for the phone sex. The authors made a big ass point to show how really innocent Piper was throughout the book. Even through Piper kept saying she wasn’t that innocent, she was the most innocent virgin I think I’ve ever read about!

The epilogue was very sweet actually. And not to be surprised since you already saw my rating, but that was probably my favorite part of the whole book too! Very cheesy epilogue, especially for romance books, but sweet because it was connected to another part of the book.

Negatives: (Spoilers)

I’m sorry for anyone who loved or even slightly liked this book, but to me it was terrible. It was actually hard for me to write any positives about this book because it was that BAD!

The dialogue was to coy and boring for this to really be a romance. If their wasn’t constant conversations and thoughts about Piper and Kit having sex or them even saying I love you, I would say this wasn’t a romance at all. I would say it was a very bad contemporary addicts recovery story. I think I read someone saying “I know” or “okay” more then anything else. There was just no flavor if that makes any sense.

Now the plot. I thought this would be such a cute book in the beginning. A bad boy in a boy bad falling for his band mates/best friends baby sister, what’s not more cute then that? At least for me it was the cutest book plot in a nut shell! I was so disappointed on how it actually went. Every time the author said something for sure was going to happen, it didn’t. Anytime I thought something was definitely going to happen, it didn’t. You would think after reading Piper say how protective and overbearing her brothers are, they would actually slightly freak out. Or at least be mad for a chapter! But no... they seemed like they didn’t give a flying f***! Then their was constant times where I didn’t even understand what the plot was. It didn’t even really become a best friends baby sister falling for the bad boy, it became just a lot of sex talk.

And oh my god! The amount of characters that talked about sex like it was just normal to put into a open conversation, was so weird. One part in particular, Piper is talking about coffee, then their talking about how she’s dating Kit and having sex! Like, that’s so weird and not needed. and it made me cringe many, many times. It may seem like I’m over reacting, or maybe I’m not even explaining It right, but I’m really not over reacting. It made their “love” to each other just seem like it was all about sex. Even if the author popped in a few times that they like each other more then just sex, it did not get its point across with the amount of times it was talked about.

In the beginning, after seeing all the boys in the band had a book about them, I was actually excited to read this series. Now, not at all. Seeing how badly this was written and how badly the author portrayed a “normal and loving relationship” got me so uninterested. I honestly thought this would be my next book series to binge... yeah.... NO!

I don’t recommend it at all. This is actually the first book I’ve ever rated 1 star and I’m kinda sad about it because I had such high hopes for it. I always try to find as much positives as possible to change my mind in rating books and usually at least give 3 stars most of the time. Not with this one and I’m sorry to anyone who loved this book. This review is just my opinion so take it as you want.

Absolutely loved this book! I couldn’t put it down! Yes it has some strong language and talks about sex a bit but the love story is amazing!! Kit has watched piper grow up from this 16 year old girl to this 19 year old beautiful yet completely innocent young woman. He knows he should want her but he kept help but want more and once he finds out she’s a virgin he doesn’t want anyone else taking that from her but him. Piper knows she shouldn’t want him and it could ruin the band and friendships but she can’t help but fall for him and want more. He becomes someone she can trust and rely on. Kit does the same, falls for her before he can realize and trusts her more than anyone and wants nothing more than to open up completely and be honest with her. One phone from Piper asking for a ride from a party because she had been drinking is all it takes to form a friendship that leads them to falling in love with each other.

What can I say about Kit. He's totally delicious. Bad boy who is coming out of rehab. Girls dig the messed up guys right? Piper is a good girl. Sweet, innocent and still has her v card. Shes totally crushing on Kit. Who wouldn't be if they saw that shit all the time? Her brothers are also in kits band.

I loved it. Loved that they were really forming a deep relationship. They were so good for each other right from the start. I loved every bit if the book. No cheating. No falling off the wagon. Characters are great and I can't wait to read anther book in the series...

*I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.*

I am so glad I read this one! I wanted to read Kit's story after delving into Dangerous Kiss and it did NOT disappoint! Christopher "Kit" is a broken man. His parents are wealthy and while his father paraded around with his mistresses, not bothering to hide the affairs, his mother turned to drugs. He got into her stash one day and he too became a drug addict. His downward spiral continued as his band, Dangerous Noise, took off. The book takes off with him as a recovering addict. It's New Year's Eve and who should stumble upon him at a party with a groupie/fan, but Piper, the 19-year-old sister of Mal and Ethan, two of his three bandmates. He leaves the party with Piper and goes back to his place. He's known her for three years, but based on their conversation, they don't really know each other that well. It seemed as if Kit really noticed her for the first time.

Piper has had a crush on Kit for a while, but for him, she's off limits. Her brothers would not only kick his a$$, but kick him out of the band. They end up becoming really good friends, and I appreciated the build up to their relationship progressing. They eventually become lovers, but their relationship is definitely not smooth sailing. Kit doesn't think he's good enough for Piper and is scared that one day he might relapse, so he holds her at arm's length for a good portion of the book. As someone who has witnessed a loved one struggle with addiction, I can understand his hesitancy. Recovering from addiction is not a quick and easy fight; it can be a lifelong battle.

As the reader gets to know Kit more, you learn just how sweet, sincere, and passionate he is. He's an all-around good guy. I never thought he wasn't good enough for Piper; rather, I think she is exactly what he needed. She had her own battles to fight and he was exactly what she needed, too. The book was a rollercoaster of emotions as I felt for both Kit and Piper, but the HEA was beautiful! I recommend the book to anyone interested in reading about a relationship with imperfect people who fall perfectly in love.

You get to know Mal and Joel more, and I can't wait for their stories! Especially Mal's.

Dangerous Crush.

I absolutely love Kit. He is sweet, kind, and so good, despite his reputation and being a bit broken. Piper is innocent and sweet, but she has her own demons to overcome. That is one of the things I love so much about these books. All of the characters have something in their past, holding them back, making them someone you can relate to. They make you want to cheer them on as you read while also leaving you blushing at times. This couple was one my favorites more than some of the others. I loved the exchanges between the two, as well as the characters around them. I also love seeing some of my other favorite character come out to play.
The writer may have Piper come off as an innocent nineteen year old girl who has had a crush on Kit for years, and even though that may be, she has had enough disappointment by her parents to last a lifetime. She wants to be seen as a woman, a woman who wants to catch the eye of the hot, recovering addict guitar player in her brothers band. She wants an all encompassing love, and she doesn't want to settle in life. She wants her dreams to come true, and she wants that to happen with the man she wants more than anything Kit.
As for mr. hotness himself Kit he is trying to piece his life back together after his latest ness up and a stay in rehab, and falling for one of his band mates and closest friends younger sister is not the best way to do it. However he can't get Piper off his mind. He constantly thinks of how sweet she is, what a good kind heart she has, and how much he wants her in his life permanently. However, he wants to protect Piper from himself. He believes he will eventually hurt her and never wants to disappoint her in the way his own parents have disappointed him most his life. As time goes on, they can't stop their intense attraction to one another, and Kit has to decide what he wants more: the girl of his dreams, or the brothers he's found in his band?

I read this as part of The First Time: A Romance Collection, which includes Dirty Deal and Sing your Heart Out. I have since read Strum your Heart out and Rock your Heart Out. So far, Kit and Piper are my favorite pair. If I had read the books in a different order, I might not would have rated this one as high. Ms. Kaswell seems to have a template she follows pretty closely in her books. This one is a little different. However, the "Your Heart Out" series are too similar. I like them all and have to pretend I'm not reading the same thing but with different personalities.
In this book, there is a slow build to the relationship between Kit and Piper.

****spoilers******

He doesn't want to give in because she is younger and the the little sister of two of his band mates. He finally does, obviously. Then, he pulls back and she won't be with him if he won't commit. Of course, he comes around. This is pretty much the plot of the first three books in the other band series, which is slightly related to this series.

The variance seems to be whether the couples go at it right away as friends with benefits or they have a build to finally breaking down to be together.

The other two books I read together in the collection with this one from other series had a line with a typo in it at the same exact spot in the two books. Makes you wonder how much is copied word for word from previous books.

As I said, I have not read them all. I plan to. They will be predictable but the characters are good people and the stories are somewhat fun. I would ask the author to vary the steamy scenes just a little from book to book. Those scenes do vary a bit but there's still a lot of bathroom in a public place type sex. Maybe throw a little more kink, or a different kink in the next book.

Star Rating - ****

With her 2 brothers making up half of the rock group Dangerous Noise Piper is no stranger to the tattooed Rocker. However with those two overprotective big brothers making it clear to one and all that their precious Baby sister is not to be trifled with it's no wonder Piper is a untouched. But being a virgin in a world of Rock gods is never easy especially with her brothers Band Mate Kit starring in all her fantasies after walking in on him and a groupie. Can Kit move past his personal demons and the relationship he has with her brothers and realise they are meant to be.

A tragic and troubled rocker Kit knows the last thing he needs is to get involved with Piper. With relations in the band strained enough, he knows that getting involved with Piper could be the last straw for Dangerous Noise, messing with your band mates innocent sister is never a good idea. There's something about Piper that draws him to her no matter what the consequences could be.

The second book in the Dangerous Noise series Dangerous Crush was even better than the first book for me I loved getting to know Kit, reading his story and learning how much the sexy rocker had overcome. Before stumbling across Dangerous Kiss I had never read Crystal Keswell having read these first 2 books in the series I can't wait to read more . Overall 4 stars.

Kit and Piper – Piper is a 19 year old college student and finds herself out of place when she is invited to a New Year’s party that is booze, sex and drugs. Especially when she opens the bathroom door to find a gorgeous guy getting a blowjob – and realizing he is the bassist in her brother’s famous band, Dangerous Noise. He chases after her and gets her to agree to leave the party and she agrees if only he will give her a New Year’s kiss. Although they really haven’t hung out in the 3 years he has been a part of the band, they decide to become friends and when the band leaves on tour the next day they begin texting each other every day of the tour. He is losing the battle of keeping things platonic. He has major issues that he doesn’t want to affect her life and her brothers would kill him for being near their baby sister.
This book is super-hot and steamy! It grabs you from page one and keeps you turning the pages. It will keep you up late at night continuing to read. I found the characters to be real and the book had an amazing storyline. There was a full interaction with other characters in the book and you feel like you are part of their crowd. This book has both Kit’s and Piper’s POV. This is part of a series but is a stand-alone book.
I HIGHLY recommend this book and hated getting to the last page.

I really loved this book...Kit has had me spellbound since first meeting his character and Piper is perfect for him. At first I was a little bit hesitant about Piper because she is so much younger than Kit...her being only 19 to his 26 isn’t a huge difference but it looks like it is when you are 19 at the time of the relationship, but Piper is so much older than her age. Reading in Piper’s POV felt like reading through someone who was much older than 19 and her “old soul” is why I think these two work.

Piper grew up having parents but not having them at the same time...things like that can affect a person for the worst but it strengthened her.
Kit has his demons through no fault of his own...drugs was what he was taught at a young age by his mother...even if it wasn’t intended. I don’t think Kit would have stayed with sobriety in the long run if he hadn’t opened himself up to fall in love with Piper. He had it in to stay sober but not the motivation to keep going until Piper.

Oh boy Joel...his book is going to be interesting I say the least and I cannot wait to dive right into it.

More than a crush

Piper is Mal & Ethan’s little sister & all the guys in the band know she’s off limits. She’s always been friends with both Joel & Kit & she’s always thought that Kit was good looking. On New Years Eve Piper decides she no longer wants to sit at home alone so she attends this party where she accidentally walks in on Kit & another girl in the middle of well ... just read the book to find out. Kit catches up with Piper and questions why she’s at this party because he knows that her brothers wouldn’t approve of her being there. Kit insists on taking her home. Ever since that night Kit & Piper text and they build a really strong friendship. I love how they take their time to get to know one another & Piper becomes someone that Kit finally wants to better for. Kit has demons that he’s battling & Piper slowly becomes his saving grace. But will he act on his feelings for her & will it cause trouble between her and her brothers?
Definitely worth your time & I am really enjoying this series. Can’t wait to read Joel’s story! He cracks me up! Thanks Crystal for another 5🌟 book

I absolutely love all of Crystal's books, they're all very realistic and don't have the trying to hard feel. Kit and Piper are absolutely adorable and it's so cute how they talk to each other. With Kit's addiction in the past, he's scared that he'll end up hurting Piper in the long run and is scare of committing to her, but he's also afraid of losing her. Piper has had a crush on Kit since she first met him, but never gave it any thought with him being one of her brother's band mates and friends. She's always felt abandoned since her parents basically left her care to her older brother Mal, but Kit is one person she finds that is her friend and she trusts to never leave her. The heartache and love in this book is as strong as ever, but I'm glad things work out the way they do. I can't wait to see what happens next with this wild and crazy bunch.

This is book two of the Dangerous Noise series and is Kit's story. Its available through Kindle Unlimited. The writing is good and its told through alternating pov's. This one gets off to a really slow start and is pretty much drama free. It could actually use some drama to help hold your interest.

Kit is the bassist for the band Dangerous Noise. Piper is Mal and Ethans baby sister and she has had a crush on Kit for a while. She is 19 and he is 26 and has been warned she is off limits. They start a texting relationship while he is on the road. He is a recovering addict and isn't out partying with groupies and avoids alcohol. As they get to know each other he fights his attraction until finally giving in, risking being kicked out of the band. He feels he isn't good enough for her but she is supportive of him and he her in her pursuit of becoming an actress. No drama when the brothers find out and they get their HEA.

This is the second book in the “Dangerous Noise” Series and by far my favorite couple. Kit is sweet and honest and despite being broken, he's exactly what Piper needs. Piper Strong is sweet and innocent on the outside but is a confused mess on the inside. They both have something from their pasts holding them back from experiencing happiness now...but what they find in each other is true bliss and just the salve they needed to move on, be who they want to be and to do what makes them happy! They are so sweet together and their witty banter endeared me to them...not to mention their explosive chemistry chars the pages! I couldn't put this book down once I started as I had to know what happened next. I cannot wait for the next in the series. HOT, HOT, HOT!!!

I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.

What happens?
Piper is Ethan and Mal's younger brother, her and Kit develop a deeper friendship and fight their connection until they can't. Kit is a recovering addict, he has long term history of drug abuse and a mother that is also an addict. Something that affects Kit even when he is a big time rockstar.
Final thoughts
I liked Kit and Piper but I found her a little annoying and I did get a bit confused with why did you make Kit an addict? Seems a bit similar to the other band. However their romance was nice and I did enjoy their story.
