Butler, Wade say they have no issues with Rondo
The Chicago Bulls are saying all the right things following a lengthy team meeting with general manager Gar Forman.
A full-blown war of words broke out after Chicago's latest loss. Butler and Wade formed one faction, speaking against the team's younger players, while Rajon Rondo spoke for the supporting cast.
Having discussed the incident for over an hour on Friday, everyone put on a happy face for the media. Forman said he was "extremely disappointed" that his players went public with their issues but the beleaguered Bulls GM did not take any questions, leaving his roster to provide answers.
"I don't have any problem with Rajon, He spoke his mind. I spoke my mind. Move on," Butler said.
Wade echoed similar sentiments about Rondo and suggested that any problems would cease when the losing streak ends.
"We met today. Grown men talking to grown men," Wade said. "We had dialogue with the whole team ... Winning cures all. I have no issues with Rondo."
Rondo, who called out Butler and Wade for going to the press, said he was merely lending his voice to younger players who didn't have a platform.
"We spoke as a team this morning. Everyone had the same platform and we got to talk it out. We got to say what we needed to say," Rondo said.
"It's not that we don't like each other. Some things came out that shouldn't have," he added.
