Shealah Craighead, a photojournalist who has served as the photographer for former first lady Laura Bush and Gov. Sarah Palin’s vice presidential campaign, has been named official White House photographer for President Trump.

Ms. Craighead, who has worked for the George W. Bush White House and the office of former Vice President Dick Cheney, was tapped for the job that will call on her to document the president’s daily work and travels virtually nonstop. She was with Mr. Trump on his first flight on Air Force One to Philadelphia Thursday.

She has worked for the Boston Globe, The Associated Press and Getty Images. Ms. Craighead also has worked for former Vice President Joseph R. Biden, Florida Gov. Rick Scott and Republican Sen. Kay Bailey Hutchison during her 2010 campaign for governor.
