REVEALED: Why the UK, USA and Spain might not EXIST within two decades

The UK, USA and Spain are among 10 countries that might not survive the next 20 years, according to a mind-blowing viral video.

UK and US among countries that "may not survive" 20 years

Britain could cease to exist as the world knows it - and it’s not the only country under threat.

These are the claims made by Top Lists in a viral clip shared on YouTube, that’s been viewed almost 13 million times.

From pollution to cultural tensions and economic crisis, there are many factors that threaten the longevity of these 10 nations.

1. Maldives

Known for luxury and countless honeymooning couples, the island paradise, off the coast of Sri Lanka, may be gone in the future, as rising sea levels threaten to engulf it.

The Maldives archipelago is in extreme danger of sinking and its President has begun drawing up plans to prepare for the worst.

2. USA

There are many cultural divides between the states of America that have existed since the civil war.

Top Lists said: “If these deep-rooted political and cultural differences within the US aren’t rectified, it’s possible some states could break free.”

As recently as 2012, some 50 states had submitted petitions on the subject.

According to Top Lists, the two states most likely to separate would be Alaska and Texas.

3. United Kingdom

Scotland didn’t gain independence in 2014 but it hasn’t given up yet.

Further to this, Top Lists said: “There’s a simmering movement in Wales and Northern Ireland that seeks autonomy and possibly independence for these regions.”

If any of these regions were to gain independence, the UK would fall.

4. Islamic State

This controversial entry made its way into the 10-strong list even though it’s not a country.

There are a multitude of forces around the world that are currently at war with IS and the only way for the state to survive would be to ally with one of these forces - which remains highly unlikely.

5. Libya

Libya was an Italian colony until 1951 and now the country is fracturing.

It used to be separated into three regions and residents remain divided.

6. Iraq

Iraq has been marred by political and religious tension.

The nation has a history of oppression and is currently divided into the Kurds, Sunnis and Shiites.

They will have to agree to live as one country again if Iraq is to move forward beyond the next few decades.

7. China

It has the largest military and one of the most powerful economies in the world.

But much of the country’s environment has been destroyed.

Top Lists said: “Half of China’s rivers and reservoirs are polluted beyond what’s considered safe for any kind of human consumption.”

China’s water supply is on track to run out completely by 2030.

8. Belgium

Citizens of Belgium are ethnically divided. There are two halves - Flanders and Wallonia - and they don’t have much in common.

Top Lists said: “In the next 20 years Belgium may fracture, creating two new countries in Europe.”

The USA could break apart if certain states have their way

9. North Korea

North Korea has isolated itself from the rest of the world, which has depleted the nation of resources and technological advancement.

If the country’s leaders don’t open up its borders, its longevity is under severe threat.

10. Spain

The economy of Spain has been on the verge of collapse since 2008.

With the entire Eurozone in crisis, there is even more pressure on the future of Spain - where unemployment soared to 24 per cent as recently as January 2015.

There are also two regions which could break free in the next two decades.

Catalonia has passionately campaigned for independence and the people of Basque in the north want the same for themselves.
