Time Square’s annual New Year’s Eve celebration will be headlined this year by Gavin DeGraw and Rachel Platton. The live, commercial-free webcast, hosted by Allison Hagendorf for the fifth year and Mean Girls star Jonathan Bennett, kicks off Saturday at 6 p.m. ET and ends at 12:15 a.m. ET on Sunday, Jan. 1.
DeGraw is set to perform previous hits “I Don’t Want to Be” and “Not Over You,” as well as his most recent single “She Sets the City on Fire.” Platton also will sing several of her most popular tracks, including “Fight Song” and “Stand by You,” as well as continue the New Year’s Eve tradition of singing John Lennon’s “Imagine” just minutes before midnight. In addition to DeGraw and Platton, rapper Silento also will perform his viral hit “Watch Me (Whip/Nae Nae).”
The eighth annual webcast will cover all of the celebratory festivities happening in Times Square, live musical performances and countdowns by the hour as millions await the midnight ball drop.
