WWE.com

Speculating on the rumors surrounding pro wrestling is a favored pastime of many fans, perhaps second only to actually watching the matches. In this daily column, we take a look at the latest rumors being churned out by the pro wrestling rumor mill.

Important reminder: Rumors are just that -- rumors. None of this has been confirmed as legitimate news or fact, it's just circulating around the pro wrestling rumor mill. Remember, take it all with a grain of salt.

Rumors for the Day:

  • Matt Hardy may soon own the “Broken” trademark, but SI.com says WWE will not call their version of his character that even though it will be very similar to his TNA act.
  • PWInsider reports Ed Nordholm’s comments about Matt using his gimmick on Raw are part of a new Impact policy of giving all talent ownership of their characters, mannerisms, moves and catchphrases.
  • Brock Lesnar may not be defending the Universal title at Royal Rumble, according to Wrestling Observer Radio, because WWE doesn’t believe they have a suitable opponent for him.
  • Lesnar was announced by the venue as appearing on the Dec. 19 Raw in Providence, RI, but that might just be for a dark match to help sell tickets before Christmas.
  • There’s talk the Singh Brothers could be done with WWE, but they may just be transitioning away from Jinder Mahal.

If you have heard of any interesting rumors that you'd like to add, feel free to post them in the comments section below. Just remember they are rumors and not confirmed as fact, so please take them as such. Have fun with it.
