Music Week Presents: Hunger

Music Week Presents: Hunger

We're pleased to premiere the live video for Hunger’s ‘Gravity’ (Neon Sessions - Part II). The Austrian trio has been garnering attention with their dark electronic pop/ rock and will be releasing their EP entitled 'Amused' worldwide on the 8th December. The band has amassed over five hundred thousand views on Youtube as well as heavy rotation on Austria’s Hitradio Ö3, the New Music Friday Playlist on Spotify, and the Global Viral 50 Chart.

Hunger formed in 2014 when Daniel Rumpel, Johannes Herbst and Lucas Fendrich headed to the outskirts of Vienna, built up a studio and began to work on what was to become Hunger’s moody, melodic sound. Tone and evocation remained a priority for Hunger when they headed into the studio with British producer Dan Weller, where they channeled big emotion into a moody blend of alt-rock/ synth-pop. Many have drawn parallels to Imagine Dragons, Coldplay, The 1975, The Neighbourhood, and 30 Seconds To Mars, but HUNGER embodies their own sound, as visceral and evocative as their name suggests.

The live video was filmed at The Mushroom Studio in Austria, and directed by David Birner. The neon glow creates an interesting mood, complementing the emotional tone of the band’s sound, and proving that Hunger is as visceral and evocative as a live act, as they are in the studio.
