David Pearson books and typography

Ahead of the imminent release of Issue 5 of Monotype’s magazine The Recorder, renowned book designer and typographer, David Pearson gives an interview about his approach to his work and relationship with type. 

“We are increasingly being urged to create objects of desire and the cover obviously plays a key role here, especially when a book is aiming for pride of place in a bookshop.”
