From New York Times bestselling author Katy Regnery comes her first duo of paranormal romances!

ONCE UPON A TIME...
the most beautiful boy in the world kissed me.
I've never been able to forget.
Perhaps it was his jet-black hair,
or the changing copper-color of his eyes,
the intense way he looked at me...
or the fact that he awakened my passion for the first time,
at once otherworldly yet heartbreakingly real.

After that kiss, I never saw him again.

His name was Jack Beauloup.
Jack, my "Beautiful Wolf."

Twenty years passed.
He has returned.
For me.

**********

Jack Beauloup and Darcy Turner share one, perfect kiss in high school before he vanishes from sleepy Carlisle, NH without a trace.

Twenty years later, Darcy, who has never forgotten Jack, is shocked when he suddenly appears as a guest at her cousin's wedding. Their attraction to one another is just as searing as it was in high school, but immediately there are a landslide of questions that need answers. Where did he go? Why did he disappear? And what made him return?

As they find their way back to each other, they will discover that the secrets Jack holds are enough to bind them for life, or rip them apart forever.

IT'S YOU is a two-book paranormal love story. Book #1 ends with a cliffhanger. Book #2 ends with an HEA. Both book will be available within 3 months of each other. These books are sexy and steamy and intended for readers over 18.

“In my whole life, I have only wanted you.”

It's You Book One - Katy Regnery:

It’s You is the first of a two book series by the same name written by Katy Regnery. I have read several of Katy’s Contemporary Romances in the past but this is her first venture into the world of paranormal. I have to admit I was a little skeptical at first. But I’m here to tell you that if you ever decide to read one single paranormal romance, you absolutely have to make sure it’s this one. This book is amazing! Katy Regnery has come up with a finely woven world full of legends and lore. But more importantly, it’s a story of a love binding together two people so strongly that it breaks hundreds of years of rules and tradition.

 :

Darcy Turner has spent the last twenty years dreaming of one boy, and the kiss they shared when she was just fifteen years old. It was her first kiss. But it was a kiss that changed her life. It was a kiss that touched her so deeply that no one has ever been able to affect her in the same way since. But after the kiss, he left, and she hasn’t seen him for twenty years. Until now. He came back.

Jacques Beauloup, or Jack has been preparing for his return to Carlisle, New Hampshire, to Darcy, for twenty long years. He had to leave town after the kiss. He had to make sure he was ready. You see, that kiss was not just any kiss. It was a kiss that bound Jack and Darcy together forever. It is a binding that cannot be broken. Darcy was his and he was Darcy’s. She just didn’t know it yet.

“She had never felt such an all-consuming burn for anyone or anything in the entirety of her life. It was like being under a spell, like a fever or an obsession.”

kisses:

When Jack walks back into Darcy’s life, she can’t believe it’s him. As he initiates himself back into her life, the connection is undeniable. But Darcy wants answers. Where has he been for the last twenty years? Why did he come back? Why now? And there are other things as well. Darcy is a scientist, working on her PHD in Botany. Some of the things that are happening between she and Jack, though, can’t be explained by science. They can’t be explained at all because they shouldn’t be possible.

“There’s more in this world that doesn’t make sense than does. Sometimes you have to have faith.”

hands clasped

In this first of two books, we learn the history of Jack’s world. The book is told in two parts, the first part Darcy, and the second part, Jack. So, we get inside both of their heads and learn their thoughts and reactions and histories.

“He wanted her light in his life so terribly. He wanted her light He wanted her.”

I was pulled in to this story on the very first page and it did not let me go until the final page. This book does have a bit of a cliff hanger ending but book two will be released about two weeks after the first book so you won’t have to wait long. And I am assured that book two brings everything to a complete conclusion. Jack’s love for Darcy is so strong, his faith in their binding so sure. I sighed, I swooned. To have a man love you so deeply, so fully. Yet there are secrets. Things that Darcy doesn’t understand. And when she learns the truth, her world is turned upside down. She is forced to accept truths that she never could have imagined. Things that science can’t explain. Is their bond strong enough? Can she accept the truth?

It's You Book One - Katy Regnery:

I will be immediately going on to book two to get the answers. I want to yell to the rooftops for everyone of my book friends to put this book on their must read lists. It’s amazing. It took my breath away. For a paranormal lover and a complete romance junkie, it rocked my world. So what are you waiting for?

“I belong to you.
And you belong to me.
For what is bound cannot be broken.”

It’s You, Part 1 is Katy Regnery’s first paranormal romance. It is also the first book that I have ever read by her, so going into this I didn’t know what to expect. The paranormal genre has always been my favorite, and up until last year it is the genre that I read almost exclusively. Therefore, I have read a lot of it in my lifetime which makes it hard for me to come across a story that contains elements that seem unique or different. However, Katy Regnery managed to do just that.

Originality in paranormal romance is something guaranteed to impress me every time, and that was hands down the thing that I enjoyed most about this novel. What made it seem fresh and different was the mythology she created dealing with a supernatural natural being that even readers never having read PNR before know something about. Sure, it shares some similar characteristics that I have found in other books, but she managed to put a distinctive spin on a story that we have all heard many times before. If it seems like I am being a little vague, that’s because I am. I don’t want to lay everything out for you, because I don’t want to spoil anything.

The writing style was another aspect of this book that stood out to me. I can usually fly through PNR pretty quickly. This is a much slower moving novel than I am used to in this genre, mostly due to the descriptions being heavier and it taking a long time for the heroine, Darcy, to learn/accept the truth about the hero, Jack, and their relationship. I have to be honest and say that was an aspect that turned me off in the first half of the book. Your mileage may vary. This might even be a plus for some readers. I just want to say that, for me, this was not a book that sucked me in from the beginning. There was definitely a period where I had to force myself to keep reading. I don’t regret it now, but I think it is something worth mentioning because it did affect my enjoyment.

Insta-love is present in this story, but there is a supernatural reason behind it. By the time Jack and Darcy get together, 20 years have past since they first discovered their feelings for one another. They have been consumed with thoughts of each other for every day of those 20 years. The combination of the preternatural reason for their love and the length of time they spent apart leads to all of their interactions being extremely intense. The way they feel about each other is profound and overwhelming, and the author does a wonderful job of making that come across to the reader.

When they finally get to be together the way they always dreamed, Darcy finds out some information about Jack that freaks her out to put it midly. There is a huge obstacle in the way of their happily ever after, and it has them separated for the majority of the second half of the book. My heart broke for Jack. Then, it crumbled into little bitty pieces. Darcy reacts in a realistic way to this issue, but I still wanted to smack her. Why couldn’t she just give him the benefit of the doubt? Is that so much to ask for? So what if said information was slightly terrifying?! Jack is so sweet, selfless, and completely devoted to her in every way that I couldn’t help but be angry with her no matter how irrational it was.

I thought I was going to hate the part of the book where Jack and Darcy are separated. I am usually not a fan of that at all, but that was not the case this time. There was a few reasons for that. We finally get Jack’s perspective. For the first half of the story we were limited to Darcy’s point of view. It was a welcomed change for me, especially because I like his character more in general. We get to learn more about him, his past, his family, and the missing pieces of the story up until this point. I wish we could have gotten even more of it. The book ends in a cliffhanger, and I can't wait to see how everything turns out in the end.

Overall, It’s You, Part 1 is a beautiful love story that is sure to tug at your heart strings. Original, magical, and romantic, it is well worth the read. I recommend this to fans of paranormal romance that are looking for a little something different and don’t mind a slower read.

He wasn’t the same person he was before he had kissed her. He was no longer a boy with a crush on a girl. He was a man staring at his woman. The deep, unerring, unrelenting longing he felt for her had been requited, had been transfigured into the unmistakable, undying love that accompanied the binding. I belong to you.

WOW!!! That’s the feeling I had after finishing book one! I also think I need to make it a point to read some more paranormal romances, especially those that feature werewolves!! IT’S YOU had a very sexy and fairytale-ish feel to it. I literally devoured this amazing book. Tales of soul mates and undying love really are just a part of what makes this one so unputdownable.

Darcy Turner is a single thirty-five-year-old woman who has lived in Carlisle, New Hampshire for most of her life. She has never come close to getting married and is considered a spinster by her family and the people of Carlisle. There’s a reason no one has been able to win her heart, it’s already been taken by the beautiful boy who she shared the most incredible kiss with twenty years ago when she was just sixteen. From the moment Jack Beauloup showed up during his senior year of high school, Darcy was beyond smitten. She followed him around like a lovesick puppy. They shared stolen glances that made her heart race but it wasn’t until they ended up doing a school play during the summer that the kiss finally happened. Something incredible ignited from that one kiss. It seems that no man or any amount of time could make her forget Jack and Darcy questions why it is that she measures every man to him.

Darcy gets the shock of her life when Jack shows up at her cousin’s wedding. The attraction is still very much alive and electric between them. She also has been getting lost in daydreams more frequently and hears the familiar voice of the very sexy and alpha Jack Beauloup. Since their shared kiss she had been experiencing moments where she gets lost inside of her daydreams but they had only occurred a few times a year, but now they’re occurring almost daily and she doesn’t understand why.

 photo ITSYOU2_TEASER1_zpsea6rqzpk.jpg

Jack has never forgotten about Darcy and when he left Carlisle before his eighteenth birthday, his initial plan was to come back much sooner but a family secret kept him away longer than he had expected. It was all necessary in order to ensure that he and Darcy could have a life of happiness together. Jack and Darcy start a romance that burns hotter than anything they’ve ever experienced. They can’t seem to get enough of each other or spend much time apart. It is almost unbearably painful for them to be separated for even the smallest amount of time, especially after they have the most incredible passionate night together. But Darcy has so many questions and Jack seems to give her very vague answers or avoids giving her the information she desperately wants.

Darcy eventually catches Jack in a lie and what she discovers truly horrifies her and flips her world on its axis. Just two weeks ago she was promising to never leave him and now she’s begging him to leave Carlisle. But can she really let him go?

Jack is called back home to deal with a family matter but it starts a chain of events that could end up destroying the woman who he loves more than life itself.

IT’S YOU ends on one serious cliffhanger!! Luckily there should only be about a two week wait to get your hands on the second book. Make sure you add this to your TBRs!!

Beautiful Wolf.. Beautiful book. Beautiful writing. Beautiful plot. Everything about this book was simply beautiful. A rich, nuanced, incredibly built story that kept getting deeper and better and more fascinating the more you read.

Words engraved in the heart of Darcy Turner, "It's You" , and by the time you finish this book, I'll bet those words will be engraved in your heart too.

description

Twenty years ago a boy kissed a girl and changed her world. Twenty years ago a boy kissed a girl and touched her heart. Twenty years ago a boy kissed a girl and then left. Never to be seen or heard from until he appears at her cousin's wedding as a guest. Darcy has been re-living that kiss and has kept it alive in her memory for all this time, unable to let go or get over it.

Now Jack is back. For her.

description

As Jack begins his campaign to win Darcy, she is plagued by doubts and unanswered questions that cast a pall on her budding re-acquaintance with him. Her attraction to him along with several unexplained events that keep occurring to them, hold Darcy in a state of ambiguity. On one hand wanting to move forward with him but on the other reluctant to take those final steps without clear answers.

description

"You belong to me. I belong to you. Forever."

"His heart. His eternally hopeful heart loved her. Loved her most of any other being living on the face of the earth."

description

I believe that you should go into this book with as little information as possible, so this is as much as you will get from me. No spoilers here. Told in two parts his and hers, Katy Regnery created a unique and mesmerizing setting. The world building, the suspense, the characters all blend and build up so magnificently, I'm left at loss for words to explain it. What else is there to say but to implore you to read it! Even if you don't usually read paranormal romance, please give this one a try.

Do be warned this ends in a humdinger of a cliffhanger. But luckily book two isn't far away at all.

I love PNR. It's the genre that first got me into reading. My PNR shelf is still the biggest one I have of my book collections. So with that, I know I tend to be pickier than most when it comes to books in this genre. Having said that, please keep that in mind and take my review with a grain of salt. What didn't work for me, just may be a hit for you. Heck, most of my friends loved this one. I just seem to be the black sheep once more. I'm beyond bummed this one didn't work for me especially since I went into it truly hoping I'd love it based on many friends raving reviews.

So why only two stars? Two reasons stand out at the center.

One was the writing. Sadly this sort of writing just doesn't work for this particular reader. This is a personal preference, so please take this with a grain of salt as well. I found the writing to be extremely superfluous and formal for the genre it was in. I almost felt like I was reading a historical at times. The repetitiveness of descriptions only served to take me out of the story. I lost count on the amount of times the hero's eyes were described. I struggled getting into the story from the beginning and even stopped at 20%. I decided to push myself through to the end, but sadly it just didn't get any better. There was too much internal dialogue and not enough conversation to really keep me engaged.

The second was the romance was just too sweet for me. *cringes*
I'm sorry, OK? It's a personal preference. And if you're into the insta connection sort of thing, you'll gobble this up. I've read plenty of PNR books where the hero and heroine had an insta bond or a mate bond of sorts, but it felt different here. I don't know how to explain it but in the case here it just didn't work for me.

The story itself and the idea behind it is a great one. The author is clearly talented and I have a feeling this book will be a hit for many readers. Unfortunately it was a bit of a miss for this reader, but I suggest you give it a shot and judge for yourself ;)

Paranormal is not necessarily always my first choice when it comes to reading. Equally some of my most memorable reading experiences have been from this type of story so after being completely sucked in by the synopsis, I was very much looking forward to the first book in the, 'It's You,’ series.

In any fictional world whether the genre involves realism or the most outrageous of paranormal escapism I have to personally believe in the truth and motivation in all areas of the narrative. The romance depiction of the 20 years later element is beautifully portrayed and I can easily see why so many of my book friends absolutely adore the writing of this author. The paranormal element, for me, worked to provide a reason for coincidences between the book couple and, dare I say, I felt at times some elements were maybe slightly clichéd and did not suit my reading palate. This along with a phrase that repeated several times worked against my reading enjoyment so sadly on this occasion I did not enjoy or buy into this fictional paranormal world as much as I had hoped. On a side note, I know I'm in the minority and many others feel the polar opposite of myself so please check out their reviews.

BLURB:

And that about sums it up. No need for me to rehash the plot. Darcy and Jack meet, literally fall in love at first sight, and share a kiss during one summer. That was 20 years ago. Darcy doesn't see him again but can't forget him. She hasn't been able to let him go. Now he's back to claim her, to fulfill all of their desires, and to make their dreams come true.

I absolutely loved Jack/Jacques. He was divine book boyfriend material. His love and devotion for Darcy seemed unparalleled. He was handsome, sexy, charismatic, smart, caring, sensitive, had a secret, and the list goes on. I FLOVED him!!

I'm really enjoying this duet. I love when authors step outside the box and Katy Regnery not only did it, but she slayed her attempt! The paranormal romance genre has a new contributor and I for one am excited to see what else she will come up with.

As for the story of Jack and his Darcy, I'm interested in how their HEA will play out. There are quite a few obstacles in their way, but if I had to guess, Jack will have no problem overcoming them. On to book 2!

***** IT'S LIVE ****

** ARC received in exchange for an honest review **

This is without a doubt, NOT your momma's paranormal/shifter story.  It was emotional and heartfelt. I could feel every bit of their emotions.

This is a two book story, with book 1 ending with a cliffhanger.  It had a fairytale feel with darker elements. Jack and Darcy were bound to each other but years and miles separated them. However, neither could get over the single kiss that they shared when she was 15 and he was 17.

Each trying to move on from the other, it was soon realized it couldn't happen.  (I hated that they were both with others during the separation, that's definitely not my thing in a romance book - especially since Jack knew he was trying to get back to Darcy. Darcy, however, had no idea she would see him again.)

Now, Jack is back and all of the longing and unanswered questions need addressed.  The question is,  can Darcy handle the whole truth.

FOR ME, this is one of my top shifter reads.   It's not the cookie cutter fated mate storyline.   It darker, edgier and I fell in love with Jack just as much as Darcy did.   I was in awe of the sacrifices Jack made in order to be the "man" Darcy needed.

My only "complaint" would be that I wish there was more couple time.   However, this is book one of two,  so I'm hoping that we get them together more in book 2.

"I belong to you.
And you belong to me."

This was an addictive and romantic first part in a two book paranormal romance series. I have read Katy Regnery books before and truly adored them, so I was very excited to jump into her first paranormal series. This book was just so enjoyable to read, it was dramatic, epic and had a romantic connection that survived twenty years apart. If you are going to read this book (and I recommend it) make sure to buy the second book too because it ends in a cliffhanger, just a forewarning.

Darcy Turner is thirty five but she still can't get one day out of her head that happened twenty years ago. The moment has been eating at her ever since it happened and it seems that she's never going to forget her kiss with Jack Beauloup. But after that day, Darcy never saw him again and it seemed that he just disappeared into the night.

Darcy is so overcome by emotions when at her cousins wedding, she sees him. The elusive jack that she dreams about most night is here and it seems that he hasn't forgotten about her either. Neither of them can deny their all consuming chemistry but Jack also can't explain why they can read each other's minds when they looking eye to eye. Their relationship seems to be getting stranger with time literally disappearing when they're together and Jack being able to pull Darcy into a "soul flight" at any given moment. But as Darcy becomes more confused about the strangeness of their relationship, she also can't help but fall in love with Jack.

"His heart. His eternally hopeful heart loved her. Loved her most of any other being living on the face of the earth."

This was a seriously addictive book and I just could not put it down. All the aspects were so enjoyable and I couldn't help but stay up almost all night reading it. It was very fast paced and so much was going on but I never felt like it was an info dump. The deeper I delved into this book, the more complicated and intricate the story became. It was like unwrapping the present but the final gift will be in the next book, ready for discovery. I'm not waiting a day to read the next book, as soon as I get my hands on it I'm going to read it!

What I loved most about this book was the very unique and cultural paranormal and spiritual aspects. Instead of there being the normal vampires or werewolves, the paranormal beings were based of Native Indian legend and culture. It seemed like the author did a lot of the research and it really paired off with a richly imaginative world that I loved learning about. This book was so rich in culture and spirituality which was just fantastic and so interesting to read about. I wouldn't describe the paranormal creature as a werewolf exactly, but they were something like that. Only, they had an intricate and well developed culture and way of life which was a delight to read.

"There’s more in this world that doesn’t make sense than does. Sometimes you have to have faith.”

The one thing that I couldn't get into was the over the top connection between the characters. When they met at the wedding, they couldn't function properly because they were so in love, it was actually ridiculous. Instead of loving the chemistry, I just found it too over the top and therefore frustrating to read about. I'm sad that I couldn't fully believe the life long love that the characters had. After the halfway point, the chemistry did become more believable as the characters were actually able to talk or look at each other without becoming fumbling idiots. I did start getting into the romance at this point but it was a little too late for me to full connect to their story. Hopefully I'll connect more with the characters and the romance in the next book.

That's not to say that I didn't like the romance at all because there were definitely some really great romantic moments. Once again, I really think that these came after the halfway point and so I hope that the next book continues with these great scenes. I'm so excited to read the next book and find out what happens with the characters. All I know is that it's going to be epic and I'm all here for it!

“It can’t be,” he whispered, anguished, shaking his head as his eyes searched hers. “It’s you.”

ODD. READER. OUT.

WARNING.

UNPOPULAR REVIEW AHEAD.

To all you readers that have rated the book with 4 & 5 stars. I would like to say that I am tickled pink that you loved it so much. It is a known fact that we can’t all like the same things and whereas I’m not on the same page about this book I am on the same page about this author.

What I love is when authors want to spread out into different genres. Ms. Regnery spread her wings with the Fairytale books they were darker and grittier then her other books. She found her groove and went with it and rocked it might I add. So her branching out to paranormal romance? Well although under a different name as in K.P. Kelley it was interesting for her to spread those wings and from all the fantastic reviews she rocked this as well.

You can tell that research has been done and that something unique was created and yet with all this I still am disappointed in what I have read.

It all started with a kiss. Over twenty bloody years. I could deal with ten years but twenty even if there is a binding come on, really? Yes, yes I seem to be cold hearted at Christmas time. All the terminology used then got confusing. Yeah you’re all thinking you dumb mare it isn’t rocket science. I think either way I’m on the shit list here so I might as well go all in. Since that summer and Darcy’s magical kiss she has had visions. What she likes to call it is Soulflight. That aspect intrigued me but what she kept on dreaming or seeing was always the same. Then we have Eyespeak and a binding. I have to say though that a lot of things were repetitive.

I found the writing style to be slow paced and that isn’t what I expect in a paranormal romance. Although picturesque and poetic in its story telling I found it still to be verbose.

I had no fucking clue what was going on which hold your horses people before you start throwing stones at me not a bad thing but how it is portrayed by the main characters of the book. I am so impressed by this character that I had to go and check her name again. Her name is Darcy for some reason I kept on seeing an Emma. The book and the characters are okay. Why oh why did Willow keep on calling Emma, sorry Darcy kid? It drove me absolutely frigging bonkers. They are the same age and Willow doesn’t act any more mature than Em, Darcy. Darcy even emphasised the fact that when she called Willow kid that it is implied that she didn’t like it.

A lot of description and narration but not a lot of conversation I just found it hard to believe.

#NOTSORRY

I stopped reading @ 63 % so basically I got Darcy’s side of the story but not Jack’s but that is fine. No. really. It. Is. FINE.  Seeing as I read that much of the book I think I have the right to rate it.

“It can’t be,” he whispered, anguished, shaking his head as his eyes searched hers. “It’s you.”
He shifted to lace his fingers through hers until their palms were flush and, so entwined, finally still.
And you belong to me.

Jack Beauloup

He kept his fingers woven through hers until the last possible second, only moving her hand to his arm as they skipped onstage in character.
For what is bound cannot be broken.

Darcy Turner

He hadn’t stepped away from her and she stepped forward. One step. Close enough to him that the front of her sweater grazed his shirt. She felt her nipples harden into pebbles under her sweater and heard his breathing change—almost imperceptibly, like she shouldn’t have been able to hear it, but she could. It caught for just a second then picked up cadence again. Faster. Louder...

Review part 1&2
This story.....
I mean, I guess it was an okay book for me. I don’t know. There’s so many people rating it 4 and five stars, and here I am, struggling to give it 3.5
This is what I would call a slow burn novel. The first part of the plot of the book great, it literally described as they met, Darcy automatically loves Jack, he is her whole word.....(reminded me of Significance by Shelly Crane. What I really did not liked about this book is how Darcy handled everything when se found out the truth about Jack and their conection. Jack is a perfect male, he listens and he pays attention. Everything he does is for Darcy, she's the only one that matters to him. Towards the end they have so many enemies and obstacles to overcome before they can be together and i did not like that. . I still recommend it as a good read though.

This book was seriously addictive right from the first chapter. Is been a long time since I read a PNR and I seriously miss it. I miss the intensity of the soul consuming love between two individuals that goes beyond everything that contemporary romance can provide.

Darcy met the love of her life when she was in high school. After a kiss that changed her life and haunted her every dreams, Jack is back after twenty years. Although meeting him again is the best thing that ever happened to her, it might also turned into her biggest regret.

Despite the twenty years of being apart, I really did feel the way Darcy long for Jack constantly. Their reunion is seriously intense and every moment thereafter is choked full of sexual tension is practically steaming up my kindle.

Jack is very mysterious and he is full of secrets that he unable to reveal to Darcy. Of course, as a reader, I knew what he is, but I'm still very excited to learn about the hows and whys in regards to his decision in leaving Darcy and now coming back again. Getting his POV at the second half of the book is a big bonus. I love him so much for the way he make sacrifices to be with his woman he is destined for.

I knew things are too good to be true for these two individuals who are world apart and things are going to get ugly before it gets better. I understand the decision that Darcy make when she discover who Jack really is, I mean I would have seriously freaked out too. But it didn't make it anymore palatable with the way she hurt Jack. I seriously hope that the author let her grovel a little before the couple are back together again.

This one ends with a very tense and suspenseful cliffhanger. Thank goodness we didn't have to wait long for the final book. It think this book is suitable for contemporary reader as well because it didn't emphasize on the world building and the other knick knacks that usually swarm a PNR book.

*** 5 howling STARS ***

Okay! I have a confession – I am a paranormal book virgin who has never been brave enough to try this genre until now. Katy Regnery’s It’s You is my first and oh my! What an amazing first!!! She might have changed my mind completely, brought me out of my shell and I am freaking hooked by this story. But I am going to kill her because WHERE IS BOOK two? I NEED IT NOW!

I am not sure how I’m going to write a spoiler free review of this book :/ … It’s You is a love story between Jack and Darcy. Their romance began when they first met as teenagers in high school. Jack was two years older. During that last summer before he graduates they were in a play together. Jack was attracted to Darcy but he tried his hardest to stay away. Deep down he knows he is not good for her. With the exception of a few stolen glances from a distance, light touches in passing and only speaking whole on stage, Jack was successful for the most part in resisting temptation. The night before the final show Jack broke – he kissed Darcy and they were forever bound. Darcy has been crushing over the brooding Jack ever since she laid eyes on him but she thought he was not interested. So, after that scorching hot kiss, she was over the moon happy. Unfortunately, it was short lived. The next day, Jack disappeared without a trace. Two decades later, Darcy saw Jack again for the first time at her cousins wedding as a family guest. It was like no time passed – all her feelings for Jack came back in a rush. She moved on but never forgot about him. Darcy was confused, angry, hurt … so many unanswered questions as to Jack’s whereabouts all these years. Jack had broken her heart and she wanted answers. She wants the truth but can she handle the truth? Well, you have to read and find out.

The characters – can’t really talk about their secrets and talents without spoilers . The chemistry between Jack and Darcy is undeniably sexy and steamy. Twenty years in between? No problem! Everything about them screams desire and passion. The kiss, the sex, the flirting, the love, even the fights … all very consuming. Jack is all alpha, protective but also so sweet and swoony. Darcy is smart and beautiful - inside and out. I feel a bit heartbroken that she was left behind, sad, confused … so much time lost. She finally got some clarity but has a difficult road ahead.

The plot – it’s paranormal but a love story at heart and obviously something I have never read before. I have a feeling the storyline is unique even for this genre. I wonder how Katy came up with the concept for this plot in the first place (legend, bound, going inside etc.). It is so far away from what people imagine exists. I would think it is based on some realistic concept in ancient past? I need to do some research myself because I am that intrigued. Is it real? Probably not. Is it believable? Absolutely.

Here is thing – Katy’s writing is like a drug to me. Combined with a unique storyline – you will be addicted to this drug too my friend. Katy is brilliant at storytelling… she will reel you in and keep you turning the page until it is done. I have read most of Katy’s books. She is a very versatile writer. She can write virtually anything, any genre, making me a goner.

So this book is a paranormal but it’s a love story and since I am a believer in spirits, legends and all that jazz, some parts are not that unreal to me. Maybe I am crazy to think that? Maybe Katy is just a genius at twisting my mind? I am not sure but I think it’s a ladder :)

Book #1 ends in a cliffhanger – I am dying for the grand finale. I think it will be EPIC!!!

READ IT!!!!

I honestly do not read much paranormal. If so, it is usually only by my trusted authors, so I was willing to take a chance on Katy Regnery writing as K.P. Kelley. I was immediately pulled into this mysterious story through Darcy's eyes...her confusion, obsession, fear, and intense feelings.

And Jack...his secrecy, intensity, and sincerity drew me in. Their pull was magnetic and their connection ran deep. So much so that after twenty years she cannot forget him and the one moment they shared.

He is the key to what has been happening to her, but answers are only gradually revealed. Jack is a life changer for Darcy...at age fifteen and again at age thirty five. His appearance in her life is significant and overwhelming. He seems too good to be true.

They are bound together. It seems impossible to manage a connection over twenty years with barely any contact. But for them, it is true. The chemistry. The feelings. The strange ways they seem to be able to communicate to each other effectively. The unexplained occurences. The fact that they could not forget each other. But now it could be their second chance. But Jack seems to be only giving her small pieces of information.

What does it all really mean? Who really is Jack Beauloup? Can she trust her feelings and him?

This story is swirling with secrets, mysteries, and legends that seem unbelievable, but this author immerses you in this world and puts you right in the middle of it. The sights. The smells. The sensations. The deep connection. The longing and need. I felt it all. It is unique, intriguing, romantic, and completely enthralling. She made me believe that the impossible is possible. It is brimming with emotion, pain, sacrifice, and such a strong need to make hope a reality.

I recommend going in blind. I had an idea of what it was about, but even that was not quite the real story and it was full of surprises. The author does an amazing job of layering the mystery, building the tension, and giving us bread crumbs towards the truth as we get Darcy's side of their story. I was totally mesmerized by the events and by allure of Jack. And then we are given Jack's point of view, and my heart literally broke in two. He has had so many challenges. He is so devoted and so sure he can make it work. He is willing to live for her, to die for her, and clings to hope that she will give him a real chance. I absolutely loved him.

I loved the side characters of her best friend, Willow, and brother, Amory. They are intriguing. And there is so much potential for more stories with his siblings. And I hope she writes them. But right now, I need book two of It's You to see what happens with Jack and Darcy.

I was gifted a copy in exchange for an honest review.

I was so super excited and honoured when the beautiful Katy Regnery asked if I would like to review her first para normal romance novel. I mean like there was any other answer but Hell Yeah. I didn’t even read the blurb before I had my nose glued to the pages and all I can say is WOW.

I don’t read a lot of paranormal romance but when I do they all tend to be pretty similar which may be because those are the ones I pick out or it might just be because they are all pretty standard with only a few exceptions. And this right here is one very large exception.

This felt like a twist on a traditional werewolf horror movie and a second chance romance novel. It still had all of the emotion I expect from Katy’s stories and an inkling of heartbreak but there was so much more as well. The story was not only intriguing and gripping but having it told in two parts from each point of view gave me an understanding of both characters and what they were thinking and feeling and just made the story that much more relatable.

Jack still has so many levels I can’t wait to explore in the next book and I am hoping that Darcy will hurry up and open her mind and I will get to see a lot more of her and her friendship with Willow. And the addition of some secondary characters to both love and hate who add a heap more layers to this story has me dying to see where this story is going now.

Before I go I think it needs to be said that this is definitely a duet and you absolutely have to read book two to find out what is going to happen, but it hasn’t ended on such a sharp cliff-hanger that I couldn’t sleep tonight if I had to wait for the conclusion but I sure as hell wouldn’t want to and since I don’t have to I am off to see how this all plays out.

For now check out my reviews here

3 1/2 "I belong to you. You belong to me." Stars!

Ok, so this book was slloooooowwwww. I am talking, get the information half a teaspoon at a time. Those half teaspoons being issued between Darcey talking about moss and lichens and synthesizing different specimen and such bla, bla, bla... *Yawn.. #boreing... And this went on up until about the 60% mark of the book. At which point we finally get some action and I felt like the story took off.

Even with over half of the book being pretty freaking slow, I was still very intrigued, and wanted to know what was happening and how would this work out? What was the deal with this one kiss, twenty years ago?? Plus, I am totally a wolf girl. I put up with a lot for a wolf shifter story. (SUCKER!) Though I must admit, I am still confused about these wolf shifters. Do they shift into an animal, or is it more like an old school scary movie scary werewolf, or are they like an UNDERWORLD Lycan? I don't have a clear picture of what Jack and his pack look like shifted...

Any ramble... If you can deal with a VERY slow start, the story took off nicely toward the 60%-65% mark for me. (It's not a super long book... 250 pages, maybe. That's kind of a long time to wait, isn't it?) :-/

Jack was very interesting and mysterious. I wanted to know everything about him. He's a man that was completely in love with the object of his affection (obsession). Completely. He had gone though so much to be with her and to protect her. There were some serious shades of TWILIGHT going on. Jack had a bit of both Edward and Jacob. It's not super, super obvious, but to a girl that has read that series several times, (maybe five or so) it seemed there was definitely an influence there to me. I liked it though. (Obviously, I would if it was similar to a series I've read so many times.)

Darcey, I'm not sure I like. At all. She was the dumbest smart person ever. She had so many clues that Jack was "different" from other men.

I am so happy I waited to read this one because it ended on a big cliffy! But yay! Book two releases tomorrow, so I timed this one just right. Here's hoping book two takes off where this one left off and there will be no slow lag getting to the action. On to book two in the morning! Happy reading!!

5 Belles étoiles!!
A Top Pick for 2016
Wow Wow Wow. I am soooo not a paranormal reader. I honestly never thought I would like it, but I must tell you Katy Regnery has totally converted me with It's You. You DO NOT need to be a PNR reader to love this book. If you are a fan all encompassing love and soulmates this one is for you. I became addicted as soon as I started reading. I hung on every word. Katy has created an intense and vivid alternate universe filled with beauty and beasts. It is inordinately MAGICAL! A True Fairytale....The improbable yet exceptional love story between Jack Beauloup and Darcy Turner left me breathless and aching.

One heart stopping kiss between 17 year old Jack and 15 year old Darcy was all it took to spark a love of a lifetime... After that soul shattering night, Jack vanishes never to be heard from again. 20 years have passed without a single word till now! Through the years, their desire and longing for each other had never wavered. Everything Jack had done in his life had been for Darcy to ultimately return to her. While Darcy had gone through life, constantly reliving that one perfect kiss. Not understanding why she could not just simply forget Jack and move on in her life....

"For what is bound can not be broken."

Oh Jack!! He is EVERYTHING. Completely alpha, masculine and strong but it was his vulnerability that absolutely slayed me. I LOVE HIM. The magnetic pull between him and Darcy had me glued to the book. Giving me all sorts of crazy chills and butterflies. Darcy is sweet, open and utterly confused. Where had Jack gone for 20 years? Why is she so drawn to him after so much time? As the story unfolds, we were given bits and pieces of the mystery surrounding Jack. There are layers upon layers to this story that left me craving for more.....

"I belong to you and you belong to me."

So much work and research was put into It's You. Katy did her homework! A lot of facts, myths and legends...... All of which actually had me googling away!! I found it all so fascinating. Katy did a fabulous job incorporated it all into one magnificent storyline. The constant momentum carried me straight through to one doozy of an ending... I just know the next book is going to be insane and I can not wait!!!

5+ forever stars

I'm just speechless after finishing It's You book #1. My heart is racing like crazy because all I was capable of doing the past couple of hours was reading this FANTASTIC book!!! I don't know how to calm the fuck down now?! Katy Regnery has put me through some major angst, leaving me with my mouth hanging open at the cliffhanger in book #1. The last time a book of hers gave me such goose bumps and totally consumed me was NLYG. I knew from reading her romance books that she is blessed with a talent like only a few authors are. This is why I was sure that even though this book was her first attempt at paranormal, that she would not dissapoint! She didn't only deliver a swoon-worthy love story of epic proportions that made me feel so much, she also nailed the PNR aspect of the book proving that there is no genre she can not write because her talent has no boundaries.

Jack Beauloup and Darcy Turner share one, perfect kiss in high school at a school play before he vanishes from sleepy Carlisle, NH without a trace.

But time and distance couldn't change the fact that this kiss was binding them to each other for a lifetime making it impossible for them to forget each other and move on with someone else.

Darcy is shocked when after 20 long years Jack suddenly appears as a guest at her cousin's wedding. She can't deny that the once handsome teenager with the jet black hair and brown eyes has turned into a gorgeous man. Despite her attraction to him she is confused and disappointed, wondering where he was all the time. Why did he disappear and what made him come back?

Jack can't stay away from Darcy anymore and is back to finally claim her. He is ready to give her the answers to all her questions but still keeps a major secret from her because he is afraid to lose her. When Darcy starts wondering about their mutual ability to read each other minds and the fact that times goes much faster when they are together, she starts getting suspicious. But never did she except to find out that Jack Beauloup is not what he seams to be.

As they find their way back to each other Jack's darkest secrets will be revealed which will either bind them for life, or rip them apart forever...

"I belong to you.
And you belong to me.
For what is bound cannot be broken."

I loved Jack and Darcy with all my heart. They took my breath away! Their love for each other was so strong and pure. They are soul mates that were destined to be together but unfortunatelly some odds are against them! My heart was breaking for both and I could totally feel their despair and agony.

Katy Regnery didn't only give us an unforgetable hero and heroine but also some very lovable second characters like Willow (Darcy's best friend) and Amory (Darcy's brother). I hope we will see more of them in book #2.

To be honest: This is actually the most swoon-worthy PNR book I've ever read! It was a great combination of sweet, mystical and angsty. The last time I was so over the moon happy about reading a great PNR book was when I finished Jennifer L. Armentrout's Wicked and LB Dunbar's Hades! I can't wait to dive into book #2 and discover how the story ends.

I've received an ARC from the author in exchange for an honest review.

Oh my my what a book. Like It's You was a roller coaster of emotions. Damn this book was just one of the most amazing paranormal books I have ever read. I am huge fan of paranormal romance. It is one of my favourite genres and It's You was genius piece of literature which had me on a crazy bender. It is also my first Katy Regnery book. What a debut to me. Seriously, where was I? Why have I not read her books sooner? Like seriously, what is wrong with me? Because Katy Regnery wrote a book that was so out of this world. Omg, it was just simply beautiful. It's You told a story of love, destiny and fate.

I am not going to go into the story of the book and what it is about. I read the blurb and simply went with it. I went with my gut and I was so happy I went in blind and with my gut because It's You was a story that excited me. I was so giddy with happiness while reading it. It's You was a paranormal story that was so unique and quirky. I found myself gravitated towards the story a lot. It was nothing I have read. That made me so overjoyed. I expected a paranormal romance to have palpable action and It's You had some nail biting action but it had some emotional moments that made me swoon and also twisted my heart extremely. Let me tell you, there was some angst that totally made my heart quicken. I felt every single emotion to the depths my soul.It not only touched my soul but it touched my mind, body and heart so immensely. The story captivated me, captured me and consumed to me that it crippled me in a good way. Katy Regnery definitely knows how to write a book. She writes with so much conviction and it is so phenomenal that I become so spellbound with her writing. Her imagination with her scope of paranormal is so magical. I loved the story about fate and destiny. It reminds of a quote I saw that best describes this story, “Love is our true destiny. We do not find the meaning of life by ourselves alone - we find it with another.” ― Thomas Merton, Love and Living. And that is true. I was so pulled to the story. It was like when cupid hits with and an arrow and fall in love with you will see. That's what happened when I read this story. Once I got into the story, I just fell in love with it. I was in a trance. Every single page was filled with passion and sensuality that was just perfection.

I did not expect to fall in love deeply with the characters. They had a unique and earth shattering chemistry that was explosive but so believable and perfect. Jack and Darcy were a couple I was routing for from page one. Jack was so alpha and protective where as Darcy was beautiful, caring and loving. Their traits complimented each other and they had that intense and passion filled love that drew me in.

It's You was a story I could not get enough of. I really want book 2 so badly. I want all my questions answered. I need book 2 now. I will definitely be readinf more books by Katy Regnery. I am now a fan.

5+ howling stars!!!

"I love you. With everything I am. With everything I'll ever be."

Sweet mother of all PNR reads! This story was freaking amazing! Seriously, I'm over the moon (pun intended) about It's You. I can say with absolute certainty that this is now my favorite book in this genre. I haven't been able to do anything else for hours but reading. I was deeply immersed in this intriguing story, its charming and lovable characters and the mystery behind Jack and his special bond with Darcy. I completely lost any sense of time and space. I wasn't only a bystander, I felt like I was in the middle of the fascinating world Katy Regnery has created. Her beautiful and poignant writing has put me under her spell. I'm so hooked and can't wait to find out how the story continues!

Once upon a time a boy kissed a girl the summer before his 18th birthday and thus irrevocably sealed their both fates. Jack Beauloup didn't expect that Darcy Turner would turn out to be the one for him. With just a single innocent kiss his young heart has forever been bound with Darcy's. Reluctantly he left Carlisle with the intention to come back for his woman one day. 20 years have passed since then an Darcy has never been able to forget sweet and brooding Jack and their kiss. Her whole life she felt like she can't love anyone else, like a part of her is missing. With Jack now back in town looking all gorgeous and grown up she has lots of urgent questions that need answers. Jack knows that he can't keep his secrets from Darcy if he wants to be with her. But his revelations could either make them stronger or tear them apart for all time ...

Jack and Darcy's love story is absolutely epic. They share a soul-deep, unique bond that is all-consuming. Jack has long ago accepted the fact that his chosen one is a human. In over two decades his feelings for her have only intensified. And after he shares his body with Darcy for the first time he will understand that there is no going back to a life without her. Jack knows the potential risks but he is ready to try and do anything in order to make it work. His undying love and devotion to Darcy have touched my heart deeply and I'm shipping this great couple so hard!

I've read some really good PNR books over the last few years but many of them lacked true romance. But thankfully that's not the case with It's You- on the contrary. This mind-blowing story is swoony, sexy and angsty. The cliffhanger at the end of the book made me gasp out loud. The author will take you on an exhilarating ride you soon won't forget, trust me folks!

I can't believe that this was Katy's first attempt at writing PNR. This woman can do no wrong! I'm in awe of her incredible talent. She is definitely in a class of her own. I love her contemporary romance books but this genre is one she should definitely dedicate more time in the future.

I received an ARC of It's You (part one) in exchange for an honest review.

3.5 stars. It's You is a beautiful love story with a paranormal element. I connected with Jack and Darcy straight away, and was intrigued as to why Jack was away for 20 years and what he had been doing. The romance was sweet, intense, passionate and tortured, and I was drawn into their lives. The first half of the book is told from Darcy's point of view while the second is told from Jack's. I loved seeing both sides of the story and finding out what Jack had been up to for the previous 20 years and getting to know his family. Be warned that it ends in a cliff hanger but fortunately the next book is out. Beautifully written, emotional and intriguing with a smoking hot romance.

OMG! I haven't read a paranormal romance in a good long while and I can't say that I've read one that was better than this! I loved everything about it....Jack and Darcy and their unrequited/requited love story, Willow, Jack's broken family, the urgency to get to the end with what happens and even more, the urgency with which I NEED the rest of Jack and Darcy's story! I'll be waiting on baited breath for the next installment :)

I am torn about this book.
For the first almost 50% I was bored to tears, Darcy is a horribly boring character and I honestly wasn't sure I could finish this
Then the POV switched to Jack and things got a bit more interesting, I found myself wanting to know more about him and his life. This was good and bad - I wasn't on board with
his people's "lifestyle" ( I don't want to give too much away) but at least I was willing to finish the book
Not sure if I will continue to book 2, I have a feeling we will switch back to Darcy's POV and I just don't know if I can subject my self to that again - there's only so much time and sooooo many books out there and I find myself being more picky
Torn between 2 & 3* rating, I think this is a personal preference so am reluctant to give it such a low rating

5 Stars for It’s You

I had the privilege of reading an advance copy of It’s You two years ago and provided feedback to the author. I remember feeling mesmerized by Darcy and Jack’s love story and looking at my notes I had minimal suggestions to make. With my second reading of It’s You I am still blown away with how amazing this story is. This love story is creative and stands apart from other paranormal romances I’ve read. Darcy and Jack are soulmates and their connection is passionate and like nothing I’ve seen before. I don’t want to spoil the story but I will say that their love is so deep it survives time and distance. Darcy and Jack’s bonding is a physical, emotional and mental connection. It came as no surprise that Darcy is at first frightened of how deep her feelings are for Jack. But once Jack’s secrets are revealed will their love stay strong or will they be ripped apart forever? Book 1 ends in a cliffhanger but book 2 releases on January 17,2017 with a happily ever after ending you do not want to miss!

I am still amazed at how beautifully written It’s You is. With every detail I became immersed in the story. I felt the excitement and the heartache. The scenes in the woods painted a clear image and I imagined myself walking along side Darcy and Jack. I loved how the author expressed the emotions of the characters visually with the changes of the scenery and climate. I’ve said this in other reviews but Katy Regnery is one of my favorite authors. Her writing is flawless but what I love most is the risks she takes in her writing. Katy is not afraid to try new storylines. She has given us the sweet small-town romance in The Hearts of Montana series, her twist on beloved fairy tales in A Modern Fairytale collection, the rich and powerful in The Blueberry Lane series and now her debut paranormal romance. It’s You has everything I want in a paranormal romance: passion, romance, drama, intrigue and action. It’s You is a must read for all PNR fans!

It’s You is a new shifter duet by Katy Regnery (written as K.P. Kelley). I know this author for her sweet, contemporary romantic stories, so I was surprised she decided to go for a new genre. While I like to read a shifter story from time to time, the over-the-topness and predictability most of these stories contain places them in the guilty-pleasure department for me. To my surprise, It’s You is a very pleasant exception, I love it.
“You. I’d dream of you. Like I always do. Like I always have.”

Darcy Turner is a 35-year-old professor and researcher in the field of Botany. She lives with her best friend Willow in Carlisle, the small town where she grew up. Darcy doesn’t have a man in her life, not because she’s not into dating, but because her mind always goes back to the past. As a 15-year-old Darcy had a crush on Jack, the most handsome boy in school. After one kiss, he disappeared from town, never to be heard of again. Unconsciously Darcy compares every man (not that there were many) with Jack, and she dreams about him often. Seeing him again after twenty years’ intensives the feelings Darcy still has for him, but she also has questions.
“Why exactly should I believe you, Jack? Because. He looked down, and when he looked up again, his eyes were on fire. Because you belong to me. And I belong to you.”

Jack Beauloup is a shifter, and has always known this. Just like he has always known he would meet the one mate for him, probably shortly before his eighteenth birthday. What he didn’t count on was the fact she would be a woman, and not a Roug like he is. After their binding Jack leaves town to lead a lonely life working for his pack. Although twenty years has passed, Jack still feels the bond with Darcy as strong as ever. And now, it’s time to claim his mate.
“Twenty years, Will. I don’t think I’d ever stopped hoping that I’d see him again.” “Yeah. I could see it on your face.” “But, now he’s back and…I’m so…”

The moment Jack and Darcy see each other again both feel the bond between them, both know they are inevitable. What started with a sweet, teenage kiss is now so much more and both feel it. Darcy is some sort of relieved to see Jack again, to be able to ask him the questions she has. She knows what they have is special, but some things feel just a bit too weird, almost supernatural. Jack and Darcy slowly begin to build towards something lasting, but secrets and hidden truths are in their way. Since It’s You is a duet, book 1 ends in a cliffhanger, we have to wait for book 2 to see if Jack and Darcy get their Happily Ever After.

Normally when I think of shifter books, I think of over-the-top, insta lust/love stories where ‘the bond’ is responsible for everything and no common sense is needed. Sweet, funny stories, but sometimes a bit too much for me. As already said, It’s You is an enjoyable exception. Yes, Darcy and Jack share a bond and they feel the pull between them, but that doesn’t stop them thinking for themselves. Both question their feelings for each other, both are unsure what the future will bring. Jack isn’t sure how his Roug pack will react to his human mate, and Darcy.. Let’s say Darcy reacts like a normal woman when she finds out the truth about Jack. And I don’t blame her, at all.
“I love you. With everything I am. With everything I’ll ever be.” “Jack—” she sobbed. “That’s all I wanted to say. That’s all I wanted you to know. No matter what happens between us, Darcy Turner…I love you forever.”

I can’t wait for the next book of the It’s You duet, to see if Jack and Darcy get their fairytale and to see more of Jack’s family. I give the first part of the duet 4.5 stars.

I was so excited when I read the blurb for It’s You. Paranormal romance is one of my absolute favorite genres and Katy Regnery is one of my favorite authors. That is a recipe for some great storytelling, and I was not wrong. It’s You lived up to my expectations, putting some new spins on a familiar tale. Filled with romanticism, drama, and suspense, I was riveted to the page.

Twenty years is a long time to wait for someone, but it turns out that is just what Darcy Turner has done. One moment with Jack, forever ago, has shaped her entire existence. She can’t explain it, and she can’t deny it. When Jack reappears in her life, she thinks she might finally be able to get the answers she has desperately sought, only to wind up with more questions. Has their bond withstood the test of time only to crumble under life’s impossible realities?

This story had a little bit of everything thrown in. I was totally captivated by the bond that Jack and Darcy share. It defies all logic, and it is unthinkable that in twenty years it has never diminished. Of course, there is a reason for that. I don’t want to spoil anything here, but I just loved the way the story unfolded. The answers were fed to us little by little, until we finally could see the whole picture. The structure of the story was also compelling. In the first half we get dual POV, while the last half is only in Jack’s POV. I liked that we flash back to their shared history and some of the gaps are filled in.

Jack was the perfect hero. His unrelenting love for Darcy had me sighing out loud. He holds such conviction, and makes HUGE sacrifices so they can be together. Darcy I had some trouble with. I wanted her to throw caution to the wind and surrender to Jack completely which probably isn’t fair. She has a lot to process when Jack returns to her life, and she handles it about as well as can be expected.

As the story unfolds, the drama ramps up, and the stakes for these two are raised to an all time high. When we come to the end, the revelations and twists had my heart pounding. Did I mention the angst? Oh, sweet angst how I love thee. This truly was a wonderfully woven tale and I loved every moment. I can’t wait to find out where the story will go in book two. I need it now!

Twenty years ago, one kiss changed Darcy’s life forever. But immediately after, the most beautiful boy she had ever seen disappeared. She wouldn’t see him for 20 years, but now he is back. And he is back for her.

I love the world building that takes place in the first half of the book. Darcy has no idea what Jack Beauloup is or why he disappeared for twenty years, but she has never forgotten him and the kiss they shared one summer in high school. As Darcy learns bits and pieces about Jack it becomes clear that there is a lot going on in secret.

The chemistry between them is sharp and it has to be for it to still burn bright after 20 years with no contact. As Darcy begins to question why she still feels the same for him as she did as a teenager, she begins to see that there is more between them than she has ever found with another man.

The first half of the story is Darcy’s story, readers learn as she does exactly what it is that ties her to Jack, or at least as much as she can understand. The second half is Jack’s own experiences and all I can say is that it was definitely an eye opening revelation to see the world through his eyes. I loved the complexity that was added to the story when Jack’s perspective guides the way.

I pick up paranormal books when I need a change from the contemporary romance that I typically read. Sometimes it’s just the change of pace that I need. In this case, I was drawn to the synopsis even knowing it was paranormal and I wasn’t feeling the need for that break. This was simply a fantastic read that kept me turning pages from start to finish.

I loved the PNR twists, the shifts that can happen because that bit of reality has been suspended. But this book doesn’t really on readers suspending reality. It skates that line where myths and legends meet what is real. I finished it and immediately wished I had It’s You #2 to continue their story. This is one of those reads that once you start, you have to finish.

I was gifted a copy in exchange for an honest review.

Five glorious stars

"Katy's stories reveal the fairytale within us all. " GypsyTreasures&FairytaleDreams Book Blog

If you have never read a book by Katy. You have got to check out her work. You are truly missing out.

I am a beloved Katy fan. Her books are always my favorites. For me she is my top favorite author. Truly she is a phenomenal writer.

Her words are inspiring. And they get better and better with each book. And It's You is no different.

She tried something different for herself with her latest. Under the pen name K. P. Kelley, her latest will surely be a best seller.

It's You follows the lives of Darcy Turner and Jack Beauloup. Twenty years had passed since they laid eyes on each other.
Twenty years of what could have happened to boy with the copper piercing gaze. Twenty years for Darcy to wonder what happened to the boy she knew held her heart.

What happens when after all those years with no explanation, no contact, comes back into her life. Jack knew from the moment he kissed Darcy he changed both of their lives.

Messed up fate's design with just that one kiss. But what was he supposed to do? She was it for him. She was the one he cared so much for. And he wasn't sorry for it.

Now with time against them, can Jack make her see how much they are bonded to each other.
So her how much he cares for her. What he would do for her?

What will become of Darcy and Jack?
Will they get the Happily Ever After they want?

Katy Regnery, as K. P. Kelley will keep you mesmerized once again with this timeless story.
