Plan International Ethiopia is looking for Emergency Response Project Officer to be based Oromia Program Area.
The Emergency Response Project Officer
Is to facilitate programme planning, agreements, implementation, monitoring, reporting and evaluation with Zonal and regional government. It is entrusted with ensuring efficient and cost effective operations of the Emergency program (sector support-influencing, service delivery, capacity building, learning and documentation) towards the fulfilment of the strategic objectives of the organization.
Qualification Required:
1. Required Education: BSc in Rural Development, Agriculture, Economics, Development studies, Public Health, Hydraulic Engineering, Sociology or other related fields is required.
2. Required Experience: Minimum of three to six years Emergency program management experience with specific experience in WASH, Livelihood and Nutrition is required.
3. Language Requirement: English and Afan Oromo is required.
4. Knowledge: Principles and practices of Emergency program management and administration, proposal review, project design and monitoring. Good working knowledge of local and international organizations involved in charitable and developmental work in Ethiopia. Good computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft applications such as Word and Excel is required.
5. Skills and Abilities: Ability to multi-task, ability to evaluate project proposals, team-building skills, ability to analyze and present complex information , ability to lead meetings, ability to exercise sound judgment in developing and recommending projects, skills in developing and maintaining a network of working-level outside contacts, excellent drafting skills, ability to provide technical consultation and assistance- both programmatic and financial, ability to organize events and , ability to travel frequently within the Region are required .
