Derek Jeter was a gracious winner during his 20 seasons as a Yankees shortstop.

In retirement ... not so much.

Speaking during a rare public appearance, the five-time World Series champion told a story Tuesday night in Tarrytown, N.Y. of the time he rubbed it in last spring when beating a former teammate's little girl in a game of Jenga.

According to The Journal News, Carlos Beltran and his 5-year-daughter visited Jeter's home in Tampa during 2016 spring training, and during their visit, Jeter beat the youngster in Jenga, the classic game in which blocks are removed from a tower until it collapses.

"I won, and celebrated, and she didn't like it too much," Jeter said with a laugh to a crowd of Westchester County business leaders at the Westchester Marriott.

Jeter attended the event hours after the Yankees announced that next season his No. 2 will be retired and he'll receive a plaque in Monument Park.

The ceremony will be held May 14 at Yankee Stadium before the Yankees' Mother Day game against the Houston Astros, Beltran's new club. Jeter, 42, retired after the 2014 season with a franchise record 3,465 hits.

"I don't know what's going to happen," Jeter told the audience while being interviewed by event moderator Jeremy Schaap of ESPN. "I'm just going to enjoy it. My dream was always to be a shortstop for the New York Yankees. That was it and everything that's come along with it has been icing on the cake."
