This new monitor is a creative's dream

Size does matter. Especially when it comes to monitors. Ask any creative professional – photographer, graphic designer, or video editor – and they’ll tell you the same. And ultra-widescreen monitors like the LG UWM go a few steps further by becoming the perfect replacement to a multi-screen setup in the creative studio.

Be it Photoshop, Cinema 4D, or After Effects, the 21:9 aspect ratio of the LG Ultra Wide Curved QHD monitor scores on several fronts when pitted against traditional 16:9 or 16:10 multi-screen displays that we’re used to. Added features like LG UWM’s split-screen option make multitasking effortless and fluent. The click of button here allows you to see four different applications on the screen.

The sheer expanse of the LG UWM screen ensures all onscreen programs are lucidly visible without the need to zoom in. What’s more, you can resize and display multiple windows at once – with as many as 14 options, including four different picture-in-picture (PIP) choices.

Your workflow on a single-screen, unified setup is much faster, smoother and more fluid. With everything visible at a single glance, you get a broader overview of what you are working on, without losing out on the details or being forced into a break in concentration.

Furthermore, the Dual Connectivity option lets you hook-up twin sources or devices- be it a Windows PC or an Apple Mac – and simply drag and drop files between the two in a snap. No head banging over compatibility issues or wait-states over data transfers.

The LG UWM offers an intuitive menu system that boasts excellent functionality and is easy to navigate. Picture mode presets, screen splits, brightness, etc. can be tweaked via onscreen controls with just a few clicks of the mouse, instead of jabbing at hard buttons on the monitor.

The 21:9 Ultra Wide Curved QHD display is about 1.8x larger than an Ultra Wide Full HD 21:9 monitor, and about 2.4x larger than a Full HD 16:9 monitor. This makes the entire viewing experience far more immersive.

LG’s 21:9 Ultra Wide Monitor is factory calibrated. However, if you need to adjust the colors, you can custom set them with the Black level adjustment and the Color Management System. The IPS panel provides sharp, distortion-free imagery with almost 100% color accuracy. It offers an over 99 percent sRGB color gamut (CIE1931) spectrum, a 10-bit color depth, with a 3,440-by-1,440 resolution. The 0.2325mm-by-0.2325mm pixel pitch ensures that the gorgeous display has no pixel visible to the naked eye.

Input connectivity options at the rear of the LG UWM panel include two HDMI and two Thunderbolt ports along with an array three USB jacks.

So, if you are looking for a screen that not just enhances the quality of your creative work, but truly inspires the artist within, the LG Ultra Wide Monitor is probably your next buy.
