Gabriel R Womp womp, this one fell flat on its face for me. Once again, clearly a script that isn't Hellraiser related and the Hellraiser things are unbelievably forced. Some of the scenes and characters are good and woohoo Doug Bradley is still Pinhead but otherwise a miss Rated 2 out of 5 stars 02/15/24 Full Review Daniel C This movie grew on me. Doug Bradley plays Pinhead which is a plus. A reporter opens the box and then things from there don't go well Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 12/02/22 Full Review john c This seventh instalment is a little better than Hellseeker, but that's not saying much. Deader is a little more coherent, has fewer annoying fake-outs (but still has some), and has better acting performances. Still, this is yet another random horror script that had Hellraiser elements grafted onto it later. It also deviates further from the Hellraiser lore, this time featuring a cult leader able to use the Lament Configuration to resurrect his victims after he murders them. The movies in general have been very inconsistent in regards to how difficult the puzzle box is to solve. In some of them, you barely have to fiddle with the thing for five minutes before chains start flying in from nowhere. This movie doesn't have that problem; this time they've gone to the other extreme. This time the box is *so* difficult to solve that the leader of the Deaders can't find anyone to open it for him, which is a problem given that he wants to go forth and conquer the realm of the cenobites (yeah, I don't think it quite works that way, bub). Once again, Pinhead's motivation and character are trashed to mesh with this non-Hellraiser story. Here he seems more intent on simply murdering the cult than on torturing them for eternity. Simple swift murder isn't just a different motive, it's the exact opposite of what he's about. In all, this is another half-hearted effort on behalf of the film company to keep the rights to Hellraiser, one where nobody could be bothered to write an original Hellraiser script in order to do so. But the worst film in the Hellraiser franchise is still yet to come. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review guy p Hellraiser goes eurotrash but fails to conquer its own demons, so far removed from the original premise that it feels more like a Saw movie than Hellraiser. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Liam D While I do grant them for going into a new direction too bad that they still cannot make a good movie Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 08/05/22 Full Review Audience Member It's good Doug Bradley is pin head can't go wrong. This one is a bit different but I liked it Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/14/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating

Tim Brayton Alternate Ending Has no aspirations higher than to just throw out garish, weird stuff to add some meager flavoring to its watery broth of a plot. Rated: 1.5/5 Jul 27, 2022 Full Review Mike Massie Gone With The Twins The film is sharper, scarier, gorier, and certainly more serious than the last few entries in the series. Rated: 4/10 Sep 29, 2020 Full Review Kevin Carr 7M Pictures The new Hellraiser films aren't perfect, but at least they're not totally decimating a beloved franchise as the new Crow films are. Rated: 3/5 Sep 22, 2005 Full Review Walter Chaw Film Freak Central You know you're in trouble when the word you use to augment your franchise moniker is a semi-creepy, made-up word (why not "Hellraiser: Spookeegery"). Rated: 1/4 Aug 19, 2005 Full Review David Nusair Reel Film Reviews ...unpleasant, interminable... Rated: 1/4 Aug 2, 2005 Full Review John J. Puccio Movie Metropolis The film is rated R for violence, gore, drugs, nudity, and simulated sex. You'd have thought the filmmakers could have found something in there of interest to a viewer.
