Abstract: Objective:To analyze the association between metabolic syndrome and its components with tumor stage and grade of primary bladder carcinoma.Methods:Retrospective study was used as the data of 260 patients were included from April 2011 to April 2016.Data including social demographic information and clinical features were collected.Chi-squared test was used as test the difference between groups in SPSS 19.0.Results:164 males and 96 females were included with metabolic syndrome was significantly associated with stage and grade of primary bladder carcinoma(P=0.022;P=0.003).BMI and hyperglycemia were significantly associated with stage and grade (P<0.05).Conclusion:Metabolic syndrome and its components was risk factor for high stage and grade of primary bladder carcinoma.It is suggested that the treatment of metabolic syndrome may play an important role for patients of primary bladder carcinoma.
