Clinical Observation of Chaoshu Decoction in Treating Primary Dysmenorrhea with Cold-Blood Stasis Type

Abstract: Objective To observe the clinical effect of Chaoshu Decoction in treating primary dysmenorrheal ( PD ) with cold-blood stasis type. Methods A total of 130 patients with PD with cold-blood stasis type were randomly divided into the control group and the observation group, 65 cases in each group. The control group was treated with ibuprofen, and the observation group was treated with Chaoshu Decoction. Results The total effective rate of the observation group was 93. 85%, which was significantly higher than 78. 46%of the control group ( P < 0. 05 ) . The scores of abdominal pain, hypomenorrhea, cold limbs and fear of cold and degree of dark purple in menstrual color in the observation group were significantly lower than those in the control group ( P < 0. 05 ) . Conclusion Chaoshu Decoction in the treatment of PD with cold-blood stasis type can quickly reduce the symptoms of patients, reduce recurrence, it has significant effect and worthy of clinical promotion.
