Someone told me this book was part Princess Diaries and part Miss Congeniality. That is a pretty spot-on description!

A fun and frothy read that I finished in under 3 hours. Not a bad way to spend a Thursday night! I thought the characters were pretty good, and the antics did amuse me. But I just didn't find myself invested in the story at all. Maybe I'm just jaded and need more angst...

I received a free copy of this novel in exchange for an honest review. Honestly, I thought it was OK, but didn't knock my socks off and sometimes? That is all you need.

This is the cheese to my crackers!
I absolutely adore the characters in this book and where they are going. Every time I finished a page, I told myself I'd put it down and return to it later but I just couldn't tear myself away from it. It made me want to be in the royals land and see what was going on but I didn't need be there, as I could see it from the writers point of view. The characters have quick wit and likeable personalities that will pull you in. Pamela's books are like potato chips, you cannot read just one. I cannot wait to get my hands on the 3rd to come book. Amazing.

Royally Wed is a delightful continuation of the Ladies-in-Waiting romantic comedy series by Pamela DuMond. No one will be surprised to discover that Lucy's wedding day to Nick does not quite go as planned when Nick disappears. While a note he leaves seems to indicate that he has left her standing at the altar, no one who knows these two can accept that, so those crazy wonderful ladies-in-waiting, Queen Nana, and Lucy seeks to discover the nefarious scheme behind his disappearance. Lots of laughs, a few tears, and a dash of suspense will keep the reader engrossed in this hilarious, sweet, and wonderful novel. I look forward to finding where the next crazy fun book takes us.

Where fairy tales and real life collide ....

Ms. Dumond has the perfect formula for romance. Love, laughter and perhaps happily ever after. Royally Wed is short enough to complete in one setting but long enough to leave an impression. Lucy is a mass of neurotic charm that is hard not to love. You can take the girl out of the city but not the city out of the girl.

I loved the premise of this book and after reading it in one sitting, it was simply fantastic! It's a rollickingly romantic comedy with all the antics that go along with that. Think Princess Diaries meets Shopaholic. Highly recommend!

4 Stars!! After reading book 1, I had a lot of unanswered questions!! Some were answered in this book & I enjoyed this book just as much as book 1!! I wish I had friends like Lucy's ladies in waiting!! Some parts of this book were a bit out there but for the most part, it was a fun, exciting & enjoyable quick read! If you're going to read this book, I 100% recommend you read book 1 first!! I still have some unanswered questions but I'm guessing they will be answered in book 3!!! This book also had a surprise at the end!! I loved that!! Haha!! Enjoy!!!

Nick and Lucy can't catch a break. Everything that can go wrong has gone wrong. Lucy got stood up at the alter and passed out. It looked like Nick left her for someone else. I loved this story and hope for more.

I thought this was an interesting book which picks up where the last one left off. They finally worked out all the issues of who is who and who they want to marry. As the wedding comes together and they get ready to say I do, Lucy for the 2nd time but not all goes as planned. Before they can walk in Royal nanna has issues and needs her grandson, leaving Lucy to walk down with no groom waiting for her at the end. From there it is a hunt for a man who said he doesn’t want to marry her, oops sorry I don’t love you, so sorry to bad. But that doesn’t stop Lucy she knows something is up.

The narrator does a good job at narration, at times she does seem child like. She does have great character voices, some of her voices are close to others but I always knew who was talking and what they were feeling. Her male voices were as nice as her female ones. Her tones and emotions were pretty good, I did chuckle a few times. There are no background noises, no repeating of words and if any breaks were taken I could not tell. The narration does give the audio true emotions as she hunts down her man. All in all it was a good listen.

I thought this was a cute listen with tons of drama, cute characters as everything falls apart. Once it all comes together the author puts another twists on the story which makes your mouth drop and then you have to chuckle as your left wondering what else could go wrong for this couple . I enjoyed this but I have to say I enjoyed the first one more.

Royally Wed, Book 2 of the Ladies-in-Waiting Series was just as witty and enjoyable as the first book, Part-time Princess. I was glad to see more of the Ladies-in-Waiting in this book. Their friendship with Lucy was unbeatable and I wanted to be part of their group from the start. I loved the addition of Tulip in this story and I hope she continues to be a part of Lucy's life in the remaining books of the series. I look forward to seeing what solutions the Ladies-in-Waiting will come up with for Lucy's newest problem in Book 3.

3 stars for the follow up to Part-time Princess because like the first book it was entertaining.

This story was part royal wedding and part mystery. The ladies are back and so is the Royal Nana! Lucy and Nick are all set to get married so of course hijinks ensue with the ladies and chaos follows to derail everyone’s plans.

Again there were a few things I was hoping to see

It was cute! That’s all I really can say about it! I thought the plot got right to the point and it was such a happy-go-lucky story. I listened to this book in one sitting.

I got the audiobook from the author—this in no way, shape, or form played into this honest review.

I liked it, but I didn't love it as much as the first one. Maybe if it was combined with the third book?
The humor was okay and the story itself absolutely had its moments. So I think it was fun but not great.
A nice read about a couple in bad luck with getting married :)

Lucy is getting married to Nicolas, but everything is going wrong. There’s a van making people late, and he leaves her at the altar! She finds out he was kidnapped and they still get married, or do they?

Lucy Trabbicio has found the man of her dreams, Nicholas, who just so happens to be a prince of Fredonia. Even though she is an American commoner, the citizens of Fredonia have fallen in love with her and cannot wait to see her walk down the isle.

Her first attempt at marriage fell short. Undercover as Lady Elizabeth Billingsley, Lucy was engaged to the other prince of Fredonia, Christoph. After falling in love with Nick, Lucy revealed her secret mission and called off the wedding, leaving Prince Christoph standing at the alter.

Now it is Lucy's turn to shine as a bride and have her perfect wedding day; however, something goes terrible wrong on her way to the alter. Can Lucy resolve the complication and still have her happy ending with Prince Nicholas?

"Royally Wed" by Pamela DuMond is the continued story of Lucy's adventures with the royal family in their country of Fredonia . The characters have the same hilarious personalities like first novel in the series which creates for a fun-filled reading experience.

The only downside to this novel, in my opinion, is the ending. The last few chapters felt rushed and seemed out of place compared to the rest of the story-line.

Overall, I enjoyed "Royally Wed" and look forward to reading more of Lucy and Nick's adventures in the future.

So I received free copies of Part-time Princess and Royally Wed in order to honestly review this book.

I'm afraid to say I didn't enjoy the second book as much as the first. The aspects of this book that I have really enjoyed are the continuing development of the main character Lucy who is funny, feisty and kind. I've also loved reading about her growing bond with her ladies in waiting who are a fun and funny group.

Where this story was weaker than Part-time Princess though was in the pacing. It just felt really rushed and events happened too easily and conveniently to ever really feel any tension or anxiety over what would happen next. I also think the author is over-reliant on waffly dialogue and this might be one of the challenges of writing comedy because I think some lines just needed the timing and skill of someone saying them out loud which you just can't recreate in your head.

Finally, one personal bug bear when reading on kindle, is books that have a sneak peek of the next book which is included in the book percentage. This meant I was merrily reading along when suddenly the book finished at 80%! So be warned!

Despite my annoyances I have enjoyed the series and will look out for Ladies in Waiting #3 when it comes out so that I can continue to read about Lucy and her adventures.

Lucy & Prince Nicholas' story continues in Royally Wed, the hilariously hot sequel in the Ladies in Waiting series!

(Recommend reading the 1st book, Part-time Princess, first. This is not a standalone.)

Book 2 starts where book 1 left off...Lucy is busy planning her wedding to Prince Nick. But unfortunate events occur that delay the big day and force the happy couple to plan another wedding. This time on a smaller scale. And it's beautiful & intimate. Butttttt...while on their Caribbean honeymoon, the newlyweds receive a telegram that changes everything.

They're "royally wed" but are they really married?!?!?

Hilarious. Heartfelt. Hot. I've fallen in love with Prince Nick! Book 1, Part-time Princess, was so good but book 2, Royally Wed, was even better! Lucy is the kind of girl you'd would want as a best friend and Prince Nick is the kind of guy you want to call your boyfriend. I'm excited to read the 3rd book in the Ladies in Waiting series, Royally Wed: The Poser!
Highly recommend for anyone who loves romantic comedies and adorable Princes!

A return to Fredonia is a return to comedic chaos, once again, for our fair lady! Just when you think she’s finally going to get her just deserves, her prince goes missing, and no one, not even those closest to her, can figure out who would have the audacity to kidnap him, and at their nuptials no less! What ensues is a mad caper through town, relying on those Lucy never felt she’d have to lean on, not in a million years. And while it’s almost always the last person you’d ever expect, sometimes, it’s the first person!

While I love Lucy, and always will, the scene stealers and stars of Royally Wed are the Ladies-In-Waiting, the close-knit group of girlfriends who are there as her support system. I loved it when they’re all commiserating, having more than enough to say when it comes to Lucy’s continual flubs. Esmeralda is my personal favorite. She is unapologetically wild, with mostly everything that comes out of her mouth a shock, but well worth it! An honorable mention goes to Royal Nana, who reminds me of my own grandmother. Nothing is filtered, every thought going right from the brain and out the mouth! Seriously, she's a hilarious hoot.

Will Lucy ever get her man? That remains the number one question on everyone’s mind. It seems just when she gets close enough to reel him in, there’s always something standing in the way! But, I don’t think I’d want it any other way. I’m looking forward to continuing this journey with Lucy and her cohorts in the third installment of this series, Royally Wed: The Poser. Given the cliffhanger in Royally Wed, I’m in for a wild ride!

This series so far has been so light & funny. This book started where book 1 left off. While Lucy is planning her royal wedding to Nick she's unaware of the plans going around her to stop it but, when Lucy is left at the altar she knows there's something much more going on and doesn't believe the note that Nick supposedly left for her. So she uses her so called detective skills to find out the truth, which are funny as always.

This was a quick read that I enjoyed just as much as the first one and can't wait for book 3. This isn't a stand alone and you really should read book 1 before starting the series.

Marie's Tempting Reads ARC Review:

Royally Wed is pure sass and pure romantic fun! This story was sexy and giggle inducing. Pamela Dumond is a "new to me" author and I am happy to say I will be keeping my eye out for her books in the future. Heck I definitely think I need to add her to my "Must Have" list. Her characters are charming, sexy, interesting, and full of spunk and sass. From one moment to the next, I felt like this story was full of fun surprises and delightful romance.
Royally Wed is the type of story that will keep a smile on your face and keep you sighing dreamily long after you finish it. I am very impressed with the writing and am so glad to have read it. Book 2 in this series was much like book 1. The characters were quirky and their antics were entertaining. It didn't pick up right where book 1 left off. There was some time in between in which memories were made that were referenced later in the book either as funny remembrances or sometimes funny cautionary tales.

I was happy for the passage of time that took place prior to the wedding which allowed the appearance at least that Lucy and Nick had time to get to know each other. While I wish I could have seen some of that first hand, I was happy it happened so I didn't get left feeling that their relationship was so insta-love like.

Overall this story had a nice, easy to follow storyline with a good narrator to help me enjoy it more. The ending definitely has you looking out for the next one so you can learn more. The only thing I was left wishing at the end was that the voice for Nick in this one wasn't so reminiscent of his brother's. It was occasionally confusing and threw me out of the moment. However it quickly pulled me back.
