These are the various other new Pokemon you will meet on your journey in Sun and Moon. Some will be common; some will be rare and require patience to catch.
Tsareena
Upon evolving from Steenee into Tsareena, this Pokemon gains the nature and personality of high-class nobility. Only the very strongest Steenee are able to evolve into this queenly Pokemon, and it does so with the blessing of others. Then, it uses its newfound strength to protect the Bounsweet.
Its exclusive move, Trop Kick, lowers the opponent's Attack. Its ability, Queenly Majesty, prevents opponents from using priority moves, like Quick Attack and Extreme Speed.

Steenee
Steenee, the "Fruit Pokemon," most resembles the mangosteen fruit! It's a little bit more durable that its pre-evolution, Bounsweet, so it's comfortable playing with other Pokemon. Along with becoming more durable, its fragrance becomes even more delectable.

Ribombee
Ribombee, the "Bee Fly Pokemon," evolve from Cutiefly. They use nectar and pollen to create Pollen Puffs, which can serve as food or even defense mechanisms, causing status effects like paralysis. People use these Pokemon-made-puffs as high-priced supplements around Alola. Because Ribombee hate the rain, the Alolan people know that fair weather will continue if they are around.

Kommo-o
Kommo-o return to its place of birth to watch over the Jangmo-o from a distance. This powerful Pokemon rings the scales on its tail to announce its presence so other Pokemon may avoid it, because Kommo-o has no desire to battle weak Pokemon. Legend says this Pokemon trains so ferociously in order to defeat a great darkness covering the world.

When Jangmo-o evolves into Hakamo-o, it leaves its group to train on its own. Hakamo-o's scales not only act as sturdy armor, but they also ring out distinctly when it dances before a battle.

Silvally
When Type: Null gains a trustworthy partner, it's able to destroy the device that dulls its powers, becoming the speedy Silvally. Similar to how the Legendary Pokemon Arceus is able to change types by holding special Plates, Silvally is able to change its type by holding particular items due to its exclusive Ability, RKS System. It's special move, Multi-Attack, matches Silvally's current type. This mysterious "Synthetic Pokemon" is said to have been created to nullify a threat.

Lycanroc (Midday Form)
Rockruff evolves into Midday Form Lycanroc when evolved in Pokemon Sun. Midday Form Lycanroc, the "Wolf Pokemon," does not live in packs as you would expect from canines. Instead, they're solitary to avoid unnecessary fights. Midday Form Lycanroc is incredibly agile and is known for its speed, and is the only Pokemon able to learn the priority Rock-type Move Accelerock.

Rockruff evolves into Midnight Form Lycanroc when evolved in Pokemon Moon. Midnight Form Lycanroc, the "Wolf Pokemon," lives for battle and loves fighting strong opponents. The move Counter is exclusive to Midnight Form Lycanroc.

Oranguru
Oranguru, the "Sage Pokemon," is exclusive to Pokemon Moon. Long ago, they were called "the people of the forests," mistaken as humans. Oranguru are incredibly intelligent and will use tools and object people usually use, like Poke Balls. Its exclusive move is Instruct, which causes the selected target to immediately use its last used move again. This is shown in a recent trailer, where Oranguru Instructs an ally Wishiwashi to use Surf a second time.

Passimian
Passimian, the "Teamwork Pokemon," is only available in Pokemon Sun. They live in troops, learning perfect Berry-throwing form from a leader. Passimian's new Ability, Receiver, allows it to inherit the Ability of an ally who faints in battle. This is shown during a double battle in a recent reveal trailer.

Type: Null
Type: Null is a "Synthetic Pokemon" constructed to utilize the strengths of various Pokemon to improve its adaptability. This Pokemon was needed in order to rival mythological Pokemon. It's so powerful, a heavy mask was designed to inhibit its agility and strength.

Jangmo-o
The "Scaly Pokemon" Jangmo-o uses its head scales both offensively and defensively, so it never turns its back on an opponent. They're prideful like warriors and train together in usually inhabitable areas where no other people or Pokemon reside.

Turtonator
Turtonator earned the title of "Blast Turtle Pokemon" for good reason. Its shell has a layer of explosive material, which it can strike with its tail to cause an explosion. Other Pokemon hitting its spikes can cause the same thing, so attack this Pokemon at your own risk!
Turtonator is the only Pokemon that can learn the move Shell Trap. At the beginning of the turn, Turtonator can set a trap. If its hit with a physical attack, Shell Trap then triggers an explosion that deals exponential damage to the opponent!

Crabrawler
Crabrawler, the "Boxing Pokemon," hates to lose and loves to fight to prove it's on top. Sometimes it takes this literally and travels to the top of walls, trees, or even people.

Palossand
Palossand is a posessed "Sand Castle Pokemon." Instead of controlling children like its pre-evolution, Sandgast does, it manipulates adults instead.
The shovel on the top of its head may be used as a radar.

Sandygast
This "Sand Heap Pokemon" is literally a lump of sand possessed by the grudges of fallen Pokemon! It's able to control children who heedlessly grab its shovel, and forces them to gather sand so it may grow larger. Not only is this Ghost-type Pokemon able to manipulate children, but it can also suck the vitality from people and Pokemon!
Its new ability, Water Compaction, increases its Defense stat by 2 each time it's hit with a Water-type move.

Stufful
Stufful, the "Flailing Pokemon," evolves into [[Bewear]. Despite its small, fluffy body, it's still very strong!

Pyukumuku
The "Sea Cucumber Pokemon" are disliked by tourists and considered to be pitiful by natives. Once a Pyukumuku finds a spot it likes, it will not move, even if it runs out of food. The people of Alola will chuck a hungry-looking Pyukumuku back in the sea so it may find food on its way back to its chosen spot.
As a defense mechanism, it will hurl its fist-like innards at enemies (or at people who accidentally step on it.)
Its new ability Innards Out allows it to make a final blow with its insides if its knocked out. This damage is equivalent to the amount of HP depleted to cause it to faint. In other words, if you one-hit-KO a Pyukumuku, be prepared for a devastating retaliation!

Wishiwashi
Wishiwashi, the "Small Fry Pokemon," are usually just that, small and weak! However, when it's in danger, its eyes shine to send an SOS to its allies. This allow it to transform from its "Solo Form" into its "School Form," a creature so terrifying even Gyarados flee from it.
Its new ability, Schooling, lets it transform in battle to School Form under certain conditions.

Morelull

Oricorio
Oricorio, the "Dancing Pokemon" appears in different forms depending on the island it is found on. Not only does its appearance change, but its types change too! Its Ability, Dancer, is new and grants it the choice to copy the dance moves of its opponent. For example, if its opponent uses Quiver Dance, it will be able to use the same move during its turn.

Mudbray
Mudbray, the "Donkey Pokemon," evolves into Mudsdale. Though it is much smaller than its evolution, it's still incredibly strong and can carry loads up to 50 times its own weight. It can only be found in Alola because it was hunted to extinction in other places in the world.

Minior
Minior is the "Meteor Pokemon" and is formed high in the stratosphere and only falls down to earth once it has collected enough sediment in the air. It can be different colors, but this is hidden until its shell breaks. Its new ability, Shields Down, gives this Pokemon great defenses while it has more than half its HP, but better attacking potential once its HP drops below half, causing its shield to break.

Gumshoos
Gumshoos is the evolution of Yungoos, and uses the exact opposite strategy its pre-evolution uses to catch prey. Its incredibly patient and is able to stay completely still while waiting for its pre-meditated chosen prey.

Fomantis
Fomantis is a nocturnal "Sickle Grass Pokemon." This Pokemon absolutely must achieve photosynthesis each day in order to evolve into a strong Lurantis. It excels at long-range special attacks like Razor Leaf and Solar Beam.

Lurantis
Lurantis, the evolution of Fomantis, is the beautiful "Bloom Sickle Pokemon." It uses its colors and aroma to draw prey in near before expertly taking them out. It can learn the new move Solar Blade, which requires it to soak in energy from the sun on the first turn before unleashing a powerful blow on its second, similar to Solar Beam.

Bounsweet
Bounsweet is a sweet-smelling "Fruit Pokemon." Because it smells so nice, people let them live in their homes, but other Pokemon also sometimes eat it whole.

Bewear
The "Strong Arm Pokemon" Bewear tries to look cute, but this incredibly strong Pokemon is dangerous while in the wild, and to its trainers. It doesn't know how to control its strength if it hugs you! The new Fluffy ability halves damage from attacks that make contact, but doubles damage taken from Fire-type moves.

Mudsdale
Mudsdale is a powerful "Draft Horse Pokemon." It makes up for its lack of speed with stamina and power. Its kicks are made even stronger by the thick, heavy coating of mud on its legs. The new ability, Stamina, increases Mudsdale's defense by one every time it's hit by an attack.

Mimikyu
This poor, lonely "Disguise Pokemon" is always hidden beneath cloth. This is for two reasons: 1) Mimikyu terribly weak to sunlight and 2) It believes if only it looked like Pikachu, people would be its friend! Its new ability, Disguise, lets it avoid a single attack before its appearance changes.

Comfey is the "Posy Picker Pokemon" that loves to carry rings of flowers around. It helps others with its soothing aroma at both Pokemon Centers and hospitals. Its new Triage ability allows it to use its restorative moves first!

Wimpod
Wimpod is a cowardly "Turn Tail Pokemon," designed after the ancient horseshoe crab. Its a scavenger that will eat and collect anything, even garbage, so they're valued as cleaners. But their nature as collectors means that sometimes they carry valuables, like pearls, which makes it a target for people and Pokemon alike. The new Wimp Out ability causes it to run away or switch out if its health is reduced below half.

Salandit
Salandit is a cunning "Toxic Lizard Pokemon" that uses toxic gas and flames to overcome its opponents. The females release pheromones that attract males of all species, including humans, that may cause them to fall under Salandit's control.

New Alola Form Pokemon
Many Pokemon from other regions in the Pokemon universe have found unique niches to thrive in within Alola. These are called regional variants and have different appearances, types, and abilities, but maintain their categories.

Alolan Muk
Alolan Muk are absolutely covered in crystallized toxins, which are both wielded as weapons and easily knocked loose--making them extremely dangerous. Because Alolan Grimer and Alolan Muk store their toxins within these crystals, they don't emit unpleasant odors like Grimer and Muk from other regions.

Alolan Grimer
Grimer were imported from other regions to help the Alola region deal with its garbage problem. After feeding on this new exotic garbage, Alolan Grimer came to be. Residual toxins from the garbage it feasts on harden into crystals which resemble teeth.

Alolan Raticate
Alolan Raticate have access to much higher calorie food within its urban habitat, causing them to be heftier and lazier than its counterparts! Because they only eat the most delicious and fresh foods, some restaurants rely on an Alolan Raticate's taste buds when choosing ingredients and new dishes.
Alolan Raticate will appear as the Totem Pokemon in Pokemon Moon in Verdant Cavern on Melemele Island, summoning Rattata to its side to assist it against challengers.

Alolan Rattata
Alolan Rattata have dastardly mustaches denoting their new Dark-typing. Rattata were considered such a nuisance by the people of Alola that Yungoos were brought in to control their population. To counter the Yungoos, Alolan Rattata became nocturnal and moved to urban areas, prompting its changed form.

Alolan Raichu
These Alolan Raichu can gather their psychic power in their tails and ride on them--just like a surf board--in the air! No one knows why Raichu changed its form in Alola, but the people believe it's because it ate too many sweet pancakes.
Its new ability, Surge Surfer, doubles Alolan Raichu's speed when on Electric Terrain.
Alolan Raichu can also exclusively use the Z-Move Stoked Sparksurfer.

Alolan Marowak
With as many Grass-type Pokemon as there are in Alola, the region was a harsh place for the once Ground-type Pokemon. To adapt, Alolan Marowak formed strong bonds with their partners which allowed them to gain a sixth sense and change into its new Fire- and Ghost-type form.

Alolan Persian
Alolan Persian's round face is a sign of the wealth of the Alola region. Tourists must undergo strict inspections before they are permitted to take one of these Pokemon home.
Alolan Persian are the embodiment of narcissism. They consider themselves the very best, above all, and almost never grow attached to its trainer. Despite this, because of its beauty, it continues to be popular in the Alola region.

Meowth were originally gifted to the royal family in Alola. Because they were pampered and spoiled, they developed a selfish and prideful attitude, changing them from a Normal-type into a Dark-type. After the monarchy was destroyed, the once rare Alolan Meowth were set loose and became common within the region.

Alolan Exeggutor
Exeggutor, originally from Kanto, is usually a Grass- and Psychic-type Pokemon. In Alola, this Pokemon is a Grass- and Dragon-type that appears to be a very tall palm tree. Alola's strong sunlight caused this change in Alolan Exeggutor, which includes the addition of a fourth head on its tail.

Alolan Vulpix
Also from Kanto, Vulpix was brought to Alola with humans. Originally a Fire-type, Alolan Vulpix adapted to the snowy climate of great mountain peaks in Alola by becoming an Ice-type Pokemon. It traveled to these high mountains as to not invade the natural habitat of native Pokemon.

Alolan Sandslash
The evolution of Alolan Sandshrew lives deep in snowy mountains where people are barred from without permission due to the likelihood of becoming stranded. Many photographers wish to take the journey because the sight of snow being kicked up by Alolan Sandslash is incredibly beautiful. Its spikes are permanently covered in ice, creating large icicle-like spines on its back.

Starter Pokemon
One of these three will be your first Pokemon in Sun and Moon.
Decidueye
The "Arrow Quill Pokemon" Decidueye is Rowlet's final evolution. This incredibly stealthy and dexterous Pokemon shoots arrow quills from its wings, and can hit targets from more than a mile away in record speed.
Only Decidueye can learn the physical move Spirit Shackle, a Ghost-type attack that prevents its target from fleeing or switching with an ally.

Dartrix
Rowlet evolves into Dartrix, the "Blade Quill Pokemon." This Pokemon is incredibly perceptive, allowing it to detect and strike opponents behind it without even seeing them first! Its wings conceal sharp-bladed feathers, which Dartrix uses as precision, trajectory-changing weapons. Because Dartrix is so snobby, it can become easily tilted in battle, causing it to make bigger and bigger mistakes or rage quit.

Rowlet
Rowlet is the Grass- and Flying-type "Grass Quill Pokemon." It was first introduced with the unveiling of the game. It knows the move Leafage, which is a new Grass-type move introduced in Sun and Moon.

Incineroar
Incineroar, the "Heel Pokemon," is Litten's final evolution. Because the flames erupting from its waist resemble a championship belt, it's known as its "flame belt."
This Pokemon fights at its very best when there's a rowdy crowd cheering it on, and risks losing focus if the crowd is lackluster. It also sometimes fights with such gusto that it may strike the opponent's trainer.
The physical move Dark Lariat is Incineroar's signature move. This attack ignores any stat changes.

Torracat
Torracat's bell around its neck is actually a flame-producing sac, rising in temperature with its emotions and spitting fire when it runs high enough. Torracat's mane acts much like an ordinary cat's whiskers, allowing it to sense its surroundings expertly, even in complete darkness. It can sometimes behave like a spoiled child around people and Pokemon its developed trust with. Torracat's large forelegs allow it to bend even iron bars and knock out full-grown men with a single blow.

Litten
Litten is the Fire-type "Fire Cat Pokemon." It was included as one of the first details revealed about the game and knows the Fire-type move Ember from the moment you meet it.

Primarina
Primarina, the "Soloist Pokemon," is the final evolution of Popplio. It uses its singing voice to move the bubbles it creates in battle, using some to jump on for extra mobility and exploding others to attack its opponents. Different colonies of Primarina sing different songs.
Only Primarina can learn Sparkling Aria, a special Water-type move that heals the burns of its target.

Brionne
Popplio evolves into Brionne, the "Pop Star Pokemon." It learns and memorizes dances from both Pokemon and humans, which it performs in battle. Brionne can dance in perfect sync with others immediately, and are always cheery and positive. You will only be able to tell if a Brionne's spirits are down if it trusts you entirely.

Legendary Pokemon
These Pokemon, as suggested by their titles as legendary, are incredibly rare and sometimes play a large role in the story of the games.
Cosmog
Cosmog, the "Nebula Pokemon," is extremely rare and was once known only by the kings of Alola. Now, the Aether Foundation is researching this Pokemon. Because of its incredible curiosity and tendency to try to make quick friends, it often puts itself in danger.
When light falls on Cosmog, it absorbs it and grows.

Tapu Fini
Tapu Fini can purify both mind and body with its special water, but hides itself in a thick fog to prevent just anyone from seeking its aid. If someone without pure intention enters its mist, it will not reveal itself to them.
