Nintendo on Wednesday dug into a handful of amazing-looking indie games coming to the Nintendo Switch over the next year, and it looks like this is going to be a year packed with fun and innovative new titles.

We selected a few of the best-looking indie games to get hyped about, starting with the return of everyone's favorite boy made of meat.

Super Meat Boy Forever

The sequel to the insanely difficult platforming game Super Meat Boy, Super Meat Boy Forever has you chasing down the evil Dr. Fetus through buzzsaw-filled levels to save your newborn child, Nugget. This time around, the visuals are a little bit different and you can punch enemies, but it still looks like classic, white-knuckle platforming at its finest.

Golf Story

Golf Story is the golf RPG that nobody knew they wanted until they saw it. The simply beautiful game looks like a delightful play with intriguing characters and storylines. The fun 2D golfing could even rival Mario Golf: Advance Tour. Golf Story is coming this September exclusively to the Switch.

Kentucky Route Zero: TV Edition

Kentucky Route Zero is an episodic adventure/narrative game finally receiving its fifth and final installment. The Nintendo Switch edition will include all five episodes and interludes when it releases in early 2018.

Yono and the Celestial Elephants

Yono is an adorably rotund little elephant who is off to save the world by solving puzzles a-la Zelda, head-butting enemies, and making friends with chickens. Yono and the Celestial Elephants is coming to the Nintendo Switch on Oct. 12.

Battle Chef Brigade

As its title suggests, Battle Chef Brigade combines the worlds of action-adventuring and cooking. You battle beasts and explore to get ingredients and then cook tasty dishes via a match-three game. Battle Chef Brigade comes out this holiday season first on Nintendo Switch.

Morphies Law

Morphies Law has an interesting take on multiplayer shooters: What if the more you shoot people, the larger your character grows so you increasingly become an easier target? Players steal each other's mass, as a way to keep the playing field semi-level. Morphies Law comes exclusively to the Nintendo Switch this winter.

Sausage Sports Club

Unfortunately Sausage Sports Club isn't about sausages playing various sports. But thankfully it features sausage-shaped animals playing various "sports" such as Kick Each Other Into Spike Pits and Something Indescribable Featuring Tentacles And Flags. The game arrives on the Switch this fall.

There were a handful of other cool indie games announced for the console too, including Earth Atlantis, Wulverblade, and a new No More Heroes game.
