Steininger Unveils Super Minimalist Outdoor Kitchen

Martin Steininger, the third-generation managing director of Steininger.Designers, revealed his first outdoor kitchen at EuroCucina. Based on the existing indoor Rock series, Rock.Air continues to pay homage to Adolf Loos and Donald Judd via minimalist cubic modules clad in stainless steel colored an anthracite gray. The surfaces are impervious to the elements, even salt water, thanks to a nano-coat of glass and ceramic. Concealed inside the modules are a buffet of options including a cooktop, multiple grills, a sink, a dishwasher, a refrigerator-freezer with an ice-maker, and storage. To illustrate the point that you can cook alfresco anytime, the manufacturer staged a photo shoot in the Austrian Alps. Schnitzel, anyone?
