AFTER our Weymouth Town Bridge special in last week's Looking Back, here's another photo from the opening of the bridge in 1930.
Peter Fry of Weymouth has very kindly dug out this photo from the Fry family archive. You can see the Duke of York taking carrying out the proceedings to open the bridge. As we learned last week, a whole programme of events was put on as the £90,000 bridge was officially opened on July 4 1930.
Thanks to Peter Fry for sharing this fascinating memorabilia.
