SINGER BARBARA WELDENS DIES WHILE PERFORMING ON STAGE

An up-and-coming french singer collapses and dies while performing onstage.
Singer Barbara Weldens, 35, was singing in front of a crowd at the festival Léo Férré when she collapsed. The festival was taking place in a church in Gourdon, a village in the southwest region of lot, france.
the singer who was performing a song from her first studio album is believed to have suffered a cardiac arrest. The causes of the of weldens sudden death are still unknown but according to la Depeche, a French national news paper, the singer is thought to have died electrocuted while performing on stage. Barbara was performing barefoot while holding live recording devices when she collapsed. Onlookers who had gathered for the event believed at first that it was an act that was part of the artist performance. Only a few minutes later, when the singer was still on the floor did they realised that something far serious was happening. Barbara friends and fans describe her as “a radiant woman who was full of energy and talent”.
Following the singer's death, the Festival Léo Ferré was canceled and Police have launched an investigation into her death but have not speculated on the circumstances.
