After weeks of heavy fighting, regime forces pushed to take the last of the Syrian city of Aleppo. Thousands evacuated the devastated city as reports of violence against civilians surfaced. A cease fire was reached with the rebels, but the UN has accused Assad forces of executing civilians in their homes as they closed in on the rebel-controlled areas.
