12.01.2016

New York—Holwell Shuster & Goldberg LLP announced today that Blair Kaminsky, Neil Lieberman, and Daniel Sullivan have been named partners in the firm, effective January 1, 2017.

“Blair, Neil, and Dan are tremendous lawyers whose diverse backgrounds serve our clients in varied and valuable ways. This is a fearsomely talented partner class that has already contributed significantly to our success as a firm, and will continue to do so,” said Judge Richard Holwell, co-founder of Holwell Shuster & Goldberg. “From Neil’s pro bono work for refugees to Blair’s training of junior attorneys to Dan’s leadership of our appellate practice, these are admirable lawyers we are proud to call our partners.”

Blair Kaminsky has been an integral contributor to the firm’s active practice in RMBS putback litigation. She clerked for the Honorable Judith Rogers of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit after graduating magna cum laude from Harvard Law School. Before joining HSG in 2013, she practiced as a litigation associate at Wachtell, Lipton, Rosen & Katz. At Harvard, she served as supervising editor of the Harvard Law Review and as a teaching assistant to Professor Alan Dershowitz.

Neil Lieberman represents financial institutions in a wide range of litigation matters. He brings to his work extensive experience as a certified public accountant, having worked with Big Four public accounting firms and multinational companies on issues relating to financial reporting, international tax, and regulatory compliance. Prior to joining HSG in 2013, he was a litigation associate at Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison LLP. He is a graduate of Columbia University School of Law, where he was a James Kent Scholar.

Daniel Sullivan served as a law clerk to U.S. Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia and to the Honorable Diarmuid F. O’Scannlain of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. His practice includes significant appellate work and transnational litigation. Prior to joining HSG in 2014, Dan was a litigation associate at Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher LLP. He is a graduate of The University of Chicago Law School, where he was a member of The University of Chicago Law Review and the Order of the Coif.

All three new partners have received notable accolades for their work. Most recently, Blair was named a Woman Worth Watching by Profiles in Diversity Journal and was recognized as a Rising Star and Top Woman Attorney in New York in the 2016 edition of New York Metro Super Lawyers. Neil has been recognized as a Rising Star in business litigation by New York Metro Super Lawyers for the past four years. Dan was named to the New York Law Journal’s list of Rising Stars, which recognizes lawyers under 40 years of age who have already made their mark on the New York legal community.
