A VIRAL video posted to Imgur shows the full force of a plane blasting an engineer off his feet on the tarmac of an airfield.

Man survives after fighter jet engine fires him backwards

A video captures the moment when a guy was flung along a runway as a place took off.

The footage begins with the man holding on to what appears to be a pad eye near the back of the small jet.

As the guy pulls his arm towards him, the planes zooms off.

The force of the plane sends the guy flying.

He bounces along the tarmac, missing a ramp by just centimetres.

When he comes to a stop, he gets up and raises his hands in the air to show he is okay.

The footage was uploaded to Imgur yesterday.

Since then it has gone viral with more than 1.7 million views.

Pretty sure he meant to do that. Check him turn his back while the other dude ducks and braces

Many viewers have gone on to comment on the video - some even questioning whether or not this was a prank.

One person wrote: “Pretty sure he meant to do that. Check him turn his back while the other dude ducks and braces.

“He was waiting to be able to do that.”

Another added: “’BEWARE OF JET BLAST, PROPELLERS AND ROTOR BLADES’ in big yellow letters is there for that very reason.

One other person said: “Happens pretty often if you don’t have a good grip on the payee.

“Those prowler exhaust point downward a bit and will roll you.”

The story comes after a paddle boarder got a spine-tingling visit from a killer whale.

Standup paddle boarding is touted for its relaxing appeal, as you cruise around flat calm waters out in the open ocean. But for Lukas Reilly, his standup surf turned out to be anything but.
