Sam Heughan and Caitriona Balfe hit the red carpet together for the season 7 premiere of Outlander!

The two stars met up with many of their co-stars including Sophie Skelton, Richard Rankin, David Berry, Izzy Meikle-Small, Joey Phillips, Charles Vandervaart, and John Bel for the event, held during the 2023 Tribeca Film Festival in New York on Friday night (June 9).

Just the day before, Sam, Caitriona, Richard and Sophie were seen at a panel event, where they opened up about the newest season to come on Starz.

“Season 7 is the best since Season 1. There are amazing characters, new and old. It’s epic and expansive. We’ve opened the world out an awful lot,” Caitriona boasted, via TV Insider.

She adds that fans will get to see more of Claire and Jamie together in the new episodes.

“We’re telling a story of two people who are so in love and so connected,” she shared. “[This season] Jamie and Claire’s love is stronger and deeper. What we’ve been trying to find, Sam and I, is they’re not young lovers anymore…what does that mean, and what does intimacy mean? You have an evolution; it doesn’t mean that things go away.”

Season 7 of Outlander will premiere Friday, June 16 on Starz.

The trailer for season 7 of Outlander is finally here!

The smash-hit Starz series stars fan faves Sam Heughan and Jamie and Caitriona Balfe as Claire.

Returning characters also include Young Ian (John Bell), Malva Christie (Jessica Reynolds), Brianna (Sophie Skelton), and Roger (Richard Rankin).

Caitriona Balfe and Sam Heughan pose together on the black carpet at the season six premiere of Outlander held at The Wolf Theater at the Television Academy on Wednesday night (March 9) in North Hollywood, Calif.

The two actors were joined by their co-stars Sophie Skelton and Richard Rankin, along with producers Maril Davis and Matthew B. Roberts.

Caitriona showed her support for Ukraine at the event by wearing a bow featuring the country’s flag colors.

Over the past week, all four stars have opened up about what fans can expect this season on the Starz show.

One of the things both Sam and Caitriona love the most this season is seeing Jamie and Claire and the “domestic daily life of a couple”.

“We do somehow spend more time with them. There are some lovely moments where you see Jamie and Claire just being in each other’s company,” Sam shared.

Outlander co-stars Sam Heughan, Sophie Skelton and Richard Rankin pose for photos together at the season six premiere for the Starz hit drama at The Royal Festival Hall on Thursday (February 24) in London, England.

Joining them were the entire cast including Lauren Lyle and Cesar Domboy, among others.

One of the big stars of the show, Caitriona Balfe, was not in attendance, and some fans were not happy she was unable to attend in person. Caitriona graciously explained why she wasn’t in attendance.

“To all those saying it’s shameful I’m not there in person, I understand you’re disappointed but I also ask for some understanding as a new mom. I’m trying to do the best I can and not being able to fly across the world like I used to is a change but we are adapting….I’ll be there virtually for red carpet and panel and it’s not @Outlander_STARZ‘s fault … We’re all trying to give you all the best experience we can in new and challenging circumstances,” she said on Twitter.

The stars walked the red carpet together for the season five premiere on Thursday evening (February 13) at the Hollywood Palladium in Los Angeles.

Fellow cast members at the premiere included Duncan Lacroix, Ed Speleers, Maria Doyle Kennedy, Lotte Verbeek, David Berry, Lauren Lyle, Richard Rankin, Sophie Skelton, and Yan Tual.

Outlander author Diana Gabaldon and executive producers Ronald D. Moore, Maril Davis, and Matthew B. Roberts were also in attendance.

During the premiere, it was revealed that the season five premiere has been released early – and you can watch it on the Starz app right now!

Sam Heughan and Caitriona Balfe are opening up about the passion between Jamie and Claire in the upcoming season of Outlander.

The two stars stopped by Build Series on Tuesday (February 11) along with their on-screen daughter, Sophie Skelton, and Richard Rankin, to promote the new season ahead.

Sam says that “there’s a lot that they [Jamie and Claire] yearn for and they still haven’t had together.”

He continues, “We see in this season that there’s a life that they haven’t lived together, and there’s still romance and yearning for each other. When they’re apart, they need to reconnect and when they do, it’s passionate.”

The new season of Outlander premieres on Sunday, February 16 on Starz.
