Chrissy Teigen Definitely Set a Record With Her Insanely Sexy Slit Dress

We know a ton goes on behind the scenes when it comes to celebrity style, but looking at Chrissy Teigen's American Music Awards dress, we're still mystified. The floor-length Yousef Akbar design included two of the longest slits we've ever seen, reaching all the way up to her ribcage and showing a ton of skin. We're not entirely sure how it stayed in place as the star walked and sexily posed on the red carpet, but something tells us the magic of things like double-sided tape — and possibly that safety-pin detail — were involved.

Either way, Chrissy totally owned the look, and her husband, John Legend, was adorably by her side, helping with necklace adjustments and ready to save her from wardrobe malfunctions — which ultimately, and unfortunately, happened. Chrissy later took to Instagram, hilariously apologizing via caption to "anyone harmed mentally or physically by my hooha."
