Chemonics International seeks experienced professionals for the USAID-funded Global Health Supply Chain - Procurement and Supply Management (GHSC-PSM) project. GHSC-PSM Ethiopia will serve as the primary vehicle through which USAID will procure and furnish health commodities, provide technical assistance to improve the country’s management of the supply chain, and collaborate with key international stakeholders to support global and local health initiatives.
The project is currently seeking qualified Standby Generator Maintenance Technician to travel to a GHSC PSM implementing partner’s nine regional branch offices outside of Addis Ababa and two offices in Addis Ababa to diagnose the faults of the standby generators and identify interventions including a list of necessary spare parts as required and carry out regular preventive maintenance and curative maintenance as required and keep the standby generators operational and minimize the generators downtime.

The Global Health Supply Chain – Procurement and Supply Management Ethiopia
Background
The purpose of the Global Health Supply Chain– Procurement and Supply Management (GHSC- PSM) Program is to ensure uninterrupted supplies of health commodities in support of United States Government (USG)-funded public health initiatives around the world. The project provides direct procurement and supply chain management support to the President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR), President’s Malaria Initiative (PMI) and Population and Reproductive Health. In supporting USG-funded global health activities, GHSC-PSM will develop and manage a wide array of services for health commodity procurement and related systems strengthening technical assistance encompassing different elements of a comprehensive supply chain.
At the country level, GHSC-PSM supports country strategies and priorities that fall under the following three project objectives:
Purpose
The Standby Generator Maintenance Technician is required to travel to GHSC PSM implementing partner’s nine branch offices outside Addis Ababa and two offices with in Addis Ababa and diagnose the faults of the standby generators and identify interventions including list of spare parts required to put them back into operation. Provide regular preventive maintenance and curative maintenance as required.

Level of Effort and Location
This is a long-term assignment for one year to provide preventive and curative maintenance to the organizations standby generators. The position include travel throughout the program’s target regions.
Supervision
The Generator Maintenance Technician will report directly to the GHSC-PSM designated person.
