A taxi driver and two passengers managed to escape a smoking taxi moments before it burst into flames in Sydney’s south-west today.
The taxi was destroyed by the ferocious fire outside a petrol station on Edgar Street in Condell Park just after 1pm.
Firefighters blocked the street as they fought to contain the fire and stop it from spreading to the petrol station.
The driver and passengers avoided injury.
Investigations into the cause of the fire are ongoing.
