Great white shark: The big fish swims into shot from the left side before turning towards the camera

In footage captured on Julian’s camera, the giant fish appears from the left side.

It swiftly changes direction, heading straight for the camera.

The shark swims right up to Julian and just as its nose is about to hit the lens, it veers off to the left side.

An extreme close up provides a terrifying view of the sharks eye, teeth and gills.

Great white shark: The scuba diver had an extremely close encounter in Mexico

The clip captures the entire length of its body as it swims away.

Julian said it was the positioning of his camera that helped to divert the great white.

Uploading the hair-raising video online, he wrote: “A Great White Shark makes a sudden turn and comes straight at the camera to investigate.

“I had to keep the camera in its face and guide it away.”

The clip has been viewed 5,000 times in less than two days.

Another diver recently had an even more terrifying experience near Guadalupe Island in Mexico.

Footage taken from above the water showers the horrific moment a humungous 13ft shark broke into a "shark-proof cage" – with the scuba diver still trapped inside.

The diver incredibly came to the surface moments later unharmed.
