These poles don't always meet but somehow manages to attract each other in the end. Ethan is easily enamored by Riley but he's such an idiot, he never knows how to act properly in front of her. He says all the wrong words while sending out those sexy erotic signals. Riley, on the other hand, is wary, in control, in denial. But when there's evident sexual tension, she falters and ends up getting disappointed.

Ali Parker has surprised me with this new series. I have always loved all of Ali's previous books, all of which are definitely tasty and yummy. This latest one's got me roaring and tumbling up and down. Ali never ceases to amaze me with her stories. Love the momentum that the characters had built, I love the excitement I feel whenever I get to read the next chapter. I love everything Ali writes. I can't wait to read more!

This was a good beginning to the series book. I feel like it was definitely just a starter book and maybe this book could've just been added into the second book? Because seriously nothing happens in this book other than setting up for the rest of the story?
Anywho, this is Riley's story of her shot at making it to the big screen. She gets an audition to a movie to star along with the biggest man in movies, Ethan. He's hot af, a jackass, rude, and mostly an immature idiot. She catches his attention but he finds it hard to let himself go and just is always a dick to her instead.
As I said, nothing really happened in this book. Just some smut with the MCs being with other people. Which was just... meh. But I am still going to continue with the series because I'm intrigued enough to wonder wtf is going to happen to Ethan and Riley.

Really good, really short read.
I'm not really a fan of cliffys, or of what should be a full length novel getting chunked up into smaller parts. It's like a crack dealer - the first hit is free, then once you're hooked, the rest are costly.
Because of this, I'm not really down with shelling out $3 bucks each for the next four installments of 100 pages each.
Regardless, I want to reiterate, this was a good read. Nice angst, good push and pull against the instant attraction.

Stage left is book one in this new series by Ali Parker and if this first book in this series is anything to go by i cant wait for some book 2.
We meet Hollywood A Lister Ethan Lewis who has been in the bright lights of show business for he has been in it for as long as he can remember. Ethan is starting to get fed up of being in public eye 24/7 and all the trappings of being a celebrity. He feels lot older than his years, he is fed up with women who will only sleep with him for his celebrity status and his money. Despite feeling all of this he decides to take on as much work as he can so he can block out how he down he truly is.
Next we meet Riley Phillips who unlike Ethan has always wanted to be under the bright lights and enjoy all the glamour and trappings that come with being a celebrity A Lister. Unfortunately she is unable to catch her big break due to getting the agents looking over her every time.
Riley finally gets the chance of hitting the big time when she gets a call from her agent to go to a audition with she has an audition with hunky actor Ethan Lewis. But things don't go the way that she planned when she realises that Ethan isn't the nice guy he seems to be on the red carpet. She finds him nasty, arrogant and is not the least bit interested in a man like that. Riley gets the role and its not long before she see's the true Ethan Lewis and despite Ethan fancying from the start the chemistry that builds up between Riley and Ethan is red hot. But you want to knock some sense into them as both are hiding their feelings for one another which ends up 2 confused people.
Ali Parker has a that rare talent with words, that she will pull you into the story, and then you are before you know it you are totally hooked, and reading the whole book in one sitting it saying to those famous words "just 1 more chapter wont hurt".

Ali Parker has written us a new billionaire series filled with sexiness, humor and intense attraction between two amazing characters that I couldn't get enough of. I am waiting patiently, or not so patiently for book two, lol. She assures me it won't be too long.
Ethan Lewis feels like he's been in the bright lights forever, although he's just getting ready to turn 24. He's getting burned out dealing with the celebrity, the women that only want him for his money and fame. Ethan wants to find a woman that will love him for him or not have one at all and since he fears that isn't possible, he's resigned himself to giving up on love and focusing on the only thing that truly gives back - his career.
Riley Phillips has wanted to be in the spotlight, on stage or in movies since she was young. She was unexpectedly noticed after giving a speech at her high school and she works her a** off for her chance in Hollywood. Managers aren't what they seem and aren't always the best so she looks out for herself as well. She is going to try out for a new movie, but this audition is different. Ethan Lewis himself will be helping cast the part. It gets really interesting and EXCITING! ;-)
These two characters have awesome chemistry and a fun loving way with each other. I absolutely loved this book. Due to some issues Ethan has had, he can definitely be a stinker but Riley is the perfect counterpart for him. This gets HOT & SPICY PEOPLE and is a great read. Completely fell hard for Ethan and Riley's story! I simply could not put this down once I picked it up. I planned on reading a few chapters before bed, but I engulfed every single delicious chapter in one sitting. The push and pull between these characters is real, frustrating, but oh so good!
I loved going through the ups and downs with these characters. This book made me smile, laugh, cringe, and then finally want to break my reading device in two. However, in the end I'm glad I didn't because I'll need it for the second book. That ending though... Loved it! Not to mention that heated audition scene. Wow! I quickly recovered from the sadness that I hit the end of the book once my mind ran wild with the realization of where this series is headed. Stage Left is exciting and worth every page.

Ethan Lewis has been in the bright lights of Hollywood for some time, even at the young age of 24, and already it has gotten to him. He is tired of the life and the women who are only looking for money instead of the real him..at least until he sees a photo of Riley Phillips.
Riley is attending UCLA following in her love of the arts and acting. She keeps waiting for her big break and finally gets it when she is asked to audition with Ethan for his new upcoming film.
These two have a fabulous chemistry in front of the "cameras" and can have one when off, but for some reason it is hit or miss. Each one is too worried about what the other person thinks...talk about a lot of sexual frustration! Riley was considering passing up her greatest opportunity to make a name for herself but Ethan convinces her to take the role. So looking forward to see where these two go with their relationship and hoping for a HEA! Received an ARC for an honest review.

OMG...
This is the way to start a new series! Absolutely loved the entire story, and characters...well, with the exception of Ethan some of the time. He definitely needs a kick in the boo-hiney for being an idiot! Getting past that, there was definitely a great deal of under current going on between he and Riley, but they both seem to be unable to be straightforward...which is the cause of the problems! The story is not all angst and sorrow...I actually can't remember when I have laughed so hard I had to put the book down to catch my breath! My most fave quote from the book (not saying who or when) was:
"Hell yes, except with Dani. Can we do a scene where I dangle her ass over the side of a building and for some odd reason I greased up my hands with lotion first?"
I literally lost my breathe laughing when I read that. I highly recommend reading this story, and can not wait for the rest of their journey!

This is another outstanding series by Ali Parker. Ethan has been acting for many years, and has become every woman's fantasy. Riley is a college student that has been doing commercials, but dreams of much more. Even before they ever meet, just from a picture of Riley, Ethan is very attracted to her. Even though Riley is also very attracted to Ethan, she does not want to show it. That chemistry between them though is way over the top. One of my favorite parts of the book, is the relationship between Ethan and his agent. That adds so much to the story. Ali Parker has a gift with words, that she uses to pull you into the story, and then you are totally hooked. One moment you are panting needing a fan, and then next you are laughing out loud. I now can't wait for book two. I received this book from the author in return for an honest review, and yes, I highly recommend it. I am looking forward to reading more about the monster of Ethan's.

Both hiding their feelings and both end really confused, could they be on screen lovers ? Strong possibility...... off screen...... maybe not so much, there is too much to lose.

Ethan and Riley. Another fun couple that I want to know more about for sure! They are amazing on their own but together they are even better. I love Ali Parker (disclaimer right there at the beginning!)!!! And this is yet another wonderful addition to her growing library of books. I think I loved Riley's displeasure in Ethan and his public personna. And then she was torn with how he was with her and the pull that was there. And it is emotional and hot!!
I love a book that is written from both points of view. And this one was done so well. I really am sad though. I have wait how long until the next installment?!?! But wait I will and then I am sure I will devour another fantastic book from Ali Parker!

I’m a sucker for anything set behind the scenes in Hollywood. I love being able to see what goes into making the magic we watch every day. And some of my favorite stuff to watch are the programs just filled with drama and angst. This book satisfies my reality-TV loving heart with huge doses of both drama and angst. Ethan’s a pretty difficult character to like in this book. He behaves like an arrogant, self-centered, adolescent jerk but there are flashes of the hurting young man behind that mask that make me believe that I’m going to love him by the end of the series. I’m a little torn by Riley. I can already see the lovable spitfire but when she feels cornered, gets defensive, she comes across as cruel and callous. And while I can understand her reaction, it makes her just a little harder to like in those moments. I look forward to seeing how this plays out.

Warning: This is not a full story. This is all set-up and does not have a full story arc by means. Cheap move aimed at investing readers in a full series, IMO.
Overall, "Stage Left" had some funny moments, mostly dialogue, but other than that it was a pretty big flop for me. The main male was, I think, supposed to be vulgar-funny and just ended up sexist and awful. Maybe he redeems himself later? Some of the humor with him I could get behind, but then it just went too far, especially his weirdly sexual-but-not-but-yes relationship with his agent.
The main female was ...fine. Had a spine, which I appreciated, and a personality. But nothing about her stood out as super likable.

Some of the humor with him I could get behind, but then it just went too far, especially his weirdly sexual-but-not-but-yes relationship with his agent.
The main female was ...fine. Had a spine, which I appreciated, and a personality. But nothing about her stood out as super likable.

This first book was good in the sense we get a taste of Riley and Ethan that leaves you wanting more. Not to sure how to take Ethan yet. Love Riley's blunt attitude.

Before writing this review, I have completed all 5 of the books.
The overall story is spread out in 5 short books. To me anything under 200 pages is short and the Bright Lights series is around 150 pages each. Before I begin, I have Kindle Unlimited (which I definitely recommend you getting if you are an avid reader like myself). This series is under Kindle Unlimited and thank goodness b/c I wouldnt pay 2.99 x 5 for short books. But you are in luck! I was heading to download the second book when I saw that you you could get all 5 books in a bundle for only .99!!!!!!! Although I have Kindle Unlimited, I am buying this bundle b/c I see myself reading it again in the future.....
Since this is a combined review for all 5 books, I will keep it short & simple so nothing is given away about the remaining books.
Ethan: the hotty actor that had the girls drooling from the very beginning of is carear. and did I mention, he has A MONSTER D*I%K that will barely budge any female. Oh, he is a man whore too.!
Riley: a soon to be UCLA graduate with a degree in drama; "patiently" waiting for her big break.
Charlotte: Riley's BFF
Liam: Ethan's Man Whore brother
Frank: Director, fatherly figure to Ethan
Deza: Agent, Motherly figure, Bff to Ethan
Those are the main characters with added characters through out each book. Ms. Parker wrote a fantastic "movie star" series. All the characters were well developed and had their own personalities. I definitely enjoyed Ethan's very VERY vulgar mouth! His quick wit never got old. Everyone was pretty straight forward; except for the main issue.... Which is ----
ARE YOU BEING SERIOUS OR JUST PLAYING THE PART?
Each book held its own and left you wanting more at the end. At the end, You did get to read two to three chapters of the next book.

Dirty Mouth but only a few curse words.
Hot sex that doesn't drag out.
and most importantly a huge monster penis. LOL!
My biggest complaint is how Deza becomes a little to emotional and seems weak towards the end of book 3, 4 and really doesn't snap out of it until mid/end of book 5. Even though she could show some weakness, I would have liked her to remain strong/confident like she did in the beginning.

I received a free copy from the author via instafreebie. Sadly I wasn’t blown away – mostly because the ‘hero’ was an egotistical jerk. His brother was worse. Hated the disrespect they both had for women. While not a fan of the man-whore as a hero I don’t mind so much if he isn’t disrespectful about the women he sleeps with but to these guys women were whores, sluts and bitches to be manipulated and only good for sex. I think we were supposed to feel sorry for poor rich famous Ethan who is only wanted for his looks and fame but because of his attitude i didn't. Ali was ok. Didn't like how h & H were both with other people. Stops at what i consider the half way point of the story and is obviously intended to be read with book 2 to get the whole story and you know my feelings on that money grabbing gimmick (well if you have read any of my reviews where this has happened you do – if not. I think it is a cheap lazy gimmick to try and screw more money out of people. If you want to write a book, write the damn book. Don’t split it into 2 or more parts and charge book price for each. If it is good enough people will read on in a series even if you given them a complete story in the first one) . Free from insta freebie for review.

I read the entirety of this series in one sitting...all 676 pages and let me tell you, it's not worth it.
She's an undiscovered actor finishing up her degree at UCLA when an open casting call gives her the chance to act of the silver screen. He's a child actor who has made as an adult actor and who is now a billionaire. They challenge eo and FIL over the course of the 676 pages, act like idiots oh and he has a filthy mouth but not in an enjoyable way. He's annoying and childish, definitely not an alpha, and I kept waiting for it to get good and it never did so I kept reading bc I was too invested. HEA

Free book, impulse read. Did not realize at the onset that this was a 4-parter (sigh). I liked Riley enough, and the perspective of the story was interesting enough for me to want to turn around and continue on book two, but the mentions of Ethan's monster got more than a bit old. Over and over and over again. Then again. I get it-- I understand the issue, but why did it have to get brought up so often? Luckily, the chemistry was off-the-charts, so I tore through this (really short) book very quickly.

So far , i loved reading this story.
It did went a little slow but hey , there are more so i will have to keep on reading them.
What i did find hilarious was his size if you know what i mean.
Honestly , too big ? Common , i did not know that existed.
I hope for him Riley can take it.
I love the chemistry between them.
It reminds me a little of Bad Romeo and Broken Juliet by Leisa Rayven.
Except i think this will be a little different.
But good points. 4 stars. But i am guessing the other books in this series may receive maybe 5stars.

Cliffhanger! A prelude to a book. 4 stars for the story but 0-1 star for the cliffhanger
Ethan and Riley. The story of a popular actor, playboy and handsome heartthrob who is going to do his next movie with a fresh unknown face. There are ten young ladies to choose from through auditions with him. Riley is a beautiful UCLA arts student whose dream is to be an actress in major films. She auditioned and got the part. A cliffhanger to entice you to get the follow up book which I will never do. I hate cliffhangers.

Oh my this book was so intense, loving, funny and most of all breathtaking. It was the way it was written that had me from the beginning. We watch as Riley and Ethan find their way in knowing that love is hard to find but if you work for it it will come. You just have to be patient. Their story was one that I think really hits home with alot of actors nowadays. I hope that we get to see more with some of these characters in later books. I absolutely loved this book. It's so worth the read and I give it 5 stars. I voluntarily read and reviewed this book as an Advanced Reader's Copy.
