Dillon Francis debuts Anywhere video

Dance music’s funniest star is paring things back on his latest release. Rather than the bone-rattling dubstep or moombahton he’s favored recently, Dillon Francis swaps in simple melodies and airy, indie-pop production on “Anywhere.”

Today, the tune, which features UK singer-songwriter Will Heard, gets an equally stripped down video — at least when you consider that recent conceits have included a 15-minute donut mockumentary and a behind the scenes peak at how to absolutely destroy a neighborhood block party. “Anywhere” pokes gentle fun at the fashion industry and EW is excited to premiere the colorful clip below.

The video was directed by Brother Wills, who also crafted the photoshoot concept, says Francis. “I wanted it to be very tastefully funny,” he recalls, “but not over the top.”

Anywhere” is streaming below. Francis released his debut studio LP in the fall of 2014. While he will only say that a follow-up is “maybe” in the works, the 29-year-old isn’t hard to find on the live circuit. He’s announced tour dates through the end of the year.
