America II goes in to design and manufacturing services

America II, the US component distributor, is moving into the services business. As well as its main component distribution business it will offer product design, manufacturing and failure analysis services.

It is also moving into the market for PCB design and manufacture.

Within the last two years America II has been growing its market presence in mainland Europe and other geographies. It has also added to its number of franchise and direct manufacturer product lines.

Brian Ellison, America II’s president, writes:

“Over the past two years it has become increasingly clear that many of our customers can gain considerable additional value from access to a broader portfolio of services. Traditionally such services have only been available through the biggest tier one distributors, and have remained frustratingly out of the reach of many smaller and ‘mid tier’ companies.”

America II has field-tested the new services with selected customers in the last year.
