A POLICE officer is in a serious condition in intensive care after she was deliberately mown down by a car.

The 30-year-old female police officer and her 31-year-old male colleague were attacked when a car they stopped suddenly reversed.

She was dragged along the road before her colleague was able to pull her out from under the wheels.

He was also injured in the attack.
