The Cleveland Cavaliers made history in June when they mounted an NBA Finals comeback for the ages against the Golden State Warriors after being down 3-1, and they were rewarded for their efforts Tuesday night with some shiny new bling and a banner at Quicken Loans Arena.  

Taking the floor before their season opener against the New York Knicks, the Cavaliers accepted their fresh jewelry and watched as the Q's rafters received an upgrade. 

But before things officially got underway, the team showed a chill-inducing hype video in front of a packed house:

Now that the ceremonies are a thing of the past, the Cavaliers can turn their attention toward a successful title defense. 

And while the Golden State Warriors are rightful favorites after they added Kevin Durant to a squad that won a league-record 73 games a season ago, LeBron and Co. can't be discounted even though the reigning Western Conference champions will be motivated after they blew a 3-1 lead with the odds stacked in the favor. 

"I know teams switch and pick up new coaches or new players, and their whole goal is kind of they want to beat me," James told Cleveland.com's Joe Vardon. "It's never just about me, but I always hear them saying, 'We gotta beat LeBron.'"

Armed with the motivation necessary to try to knock off the Dubs once again, the Cavaliers should have plenty of bulletin board material to fuel their championship drive as the season gets underway. 

"Once this banner goes up, there's only one thing left to do," Cavs owner Dan Gilbert said, according to the Record's Steve Popper. "Repeat."
